My name is Kevin Keim, and I build things. I'm located in Easter NC, outside Camp Lejeune. I have a day job but wood working is my passion. My side hustle, Keimpiece Carpentry, is focused on custom ordered pieces for clients ranging from cutting boards to kitchen tables and whiskey cabinets, as well as major DIY projects around my house that I think would make interesting youtube videos. Reach out if you're interested in placing an order.

Harvey Sliding Table and Router Table Install
I'm adding the final parts to my Harvey Table Saw System. Installing the slider and router attachments. The third and final video will be a discussion about the pros and cons of the system as a whole. The things I like, and the things I wish Harvey would have done. Let me know if you have questions.

Excellent work. We all started from humble beginnings. Keep on Keepin on 🤙🏽
thanks man. I kinda want to sell these and build better ones !
Always kind of sad to see the whole yard totally cleared of any natural character and all man made structures…instead of working with environment. 5:19
super weird thing to say, thanks for watching
What lube did you use on the TAB bolt?
mineral oil and bees wax. It's the cutting board finish that I make.
Amazing! Whats the dimensions of the frame and the house? Im thinking of doing something similar
There are plans available on my website if you'd like to build it. It's actually a pretty easy project, I designed the plans in a way that reduces that amount of materials and cutting required. the house is 6x6 and platform is 12x8
Quality content. This isn’t even remotely what I’m looking to build and I still watched the whole video 😂
thanks for watching Mike. Check out my other videos, you'll probably like the gazebo and tree house one. I'm getting ready to post my recent project, I build a brick wood burning pizza oven by myself. That'll be a good one to watch.
@@KeimpieceCarpentry definitely will have to check out the treehouse, looking to build my son one in a few months!
@@mikeh4492 There are plans available on my website, link is in the video description if you wanted to match my design.
Hey, Nice video and really Nice work, im looking to build a 16X20 carport Do you have the plan for that size?
no, but you could probably easily modify the plans I do have
This may be my favourite furniture project of yours. There's nothing like a beautiful, rustic dining room table that will continue to gain character with use. How's it holding up these days?
thanks for the kind words, this video doesn't get many views compared to my others. This table was for a Marine buddy of mine, last I talked to him he said it's doing great.
I would of laid down concrete that craw space looking frame you built is gonna rot warp over time and then floor is gonna cave in. Cheaply made. I suggest a solid foundation with bolts in concrete. Pre drill holes in frame to be perfectly lined up or use steal beam then build off of it. But this video hear is a guy who wants it to get blown by tornado
God job father sons
thanks for watching. Wait until you see my next video I'm working on. Wood burning pizza oven.
You haven't strayed far from LeJeune. Awesome work from a new subscriber in Western NC. Tarawa Terrace was awful, but they're gone now. God Bless!
Yea I stayed local. It was a hard decision to get out, I'm still local enough that I can stay in touch with all my buddies still in.
After enjoying my morning coffee watching this build I had to subscribe. Excellent skill, Excellent editing, and an excellent sense of accomplishment and enjoyment for you, your family and friends for years to come. I used to do Timber Frame, Post and Beam, and Hand Crafted Log Homes out of a British Columbia and to me it was never work, but the best days of my life. Kudos from Western NC.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm working on my next video as we speak. Brick wood burning pizza oven. It'll be out in the next few weeks.
Watched over 10 videos on "DIY treehouses". This one's easily the best finished product by FAR. Great work man
Thanks for the kind words! Next video will be a diy pizza oven build. stay tuned.
I have this same saw and I need a router table and trying to decide if I want the Harvey table saw wing router table or if I want a stand alone router table. Do you find that this set up gets in the way and you’re always moving the router table fence for table saw cuts? After using it woukd you have preferred a stand alone router table?
Depends on the side of your shop. If you're in a small garage like me, I highly recommend the harvey wing attachment. I will sometimes have to remove the router fence to make room to slide the table saw fence but it's rare and easy to do. I recommend the harvey
@@KeimpieceCarpentry Thanks. My garage space is 28x30. I technically have enough space for a stand-alone router table but any space savings is great and makes room for other tools. A lot of people steer me away from the table saw wing router table but I just see a lot of advantages.
Well done. Simple and robust design. Especially like the 2x4 frame.
Thanks for watching! it's worked well for me! Dust collection would be a good add on though.
It seems like no one on CZcams knows how to set music levels, would be much better with none
Thanks for watching. I'll keep that in mind for my next video. No music
great build
@@user-mechanicalmusic Thanks!
How’s the miter doing for you to stay in position when set for a 90 degree cut? Mine slips out of that angle fairly easy. It makes me think I’m missing a point of tension from a bolt, but I don’t know what I’m missing.
I don't have an issue with it, it stays locked in
Very cool. Was thinking of something similar, I just dont have a tree to anchor to lol.
You could just use 4 posts instead of 2
Great looking diy machine! Are you still selling the plans?
Yep, here they are. keimpiece.com/collections/build-plans-digital-files/products/drum-sander-build-plans
Definitely beautiful, unique pergola.
thanks for watching, don't forget to watch part 2
i got 1 for the money its good
Does your blade run backwards as well?
Good job Sir.
Thank you! I've been thinking about selling these and making new ones
Congratulations I see nice work
Thanks!
this is overkill. this could hold 30 men on it
Also the battery up there seems like a good idea, but kids are kids, and they will leave on the fan and light every time the use it.. so every morning a dead battery.

How much did the materials cost?
about 6k

thanks for watching
Where can someone get the true dimensional lumber?
you'll have to go to someone with a saw mill and someone who mills lumber. Go look on Facebook marketplace and search saw mill, or hardwood. If you're in eastern NC I can give you the cell number of the guy I got mine from.
very very good. Please leave the engine information, such as power and rpm
thanks for watching the motor is 1.5HP idk what the rpm is
Yo bro, that was a beast mode build, one man crew
Thanks man, check out my other build videos I bet you'll like the shed and tree house. I'm working on a pizza oven build too!
I started building this in my backyard with the price of wood and material, I might as well have bought one.
you could have bought a swing set yes, they don't sell tree houses.
Tree quite straight and can be use as column else where.
Like technique cut in place. No need measurement, precut and mismatch.
thanks for watching
For me (Thai), building shed American style is the most easy way and use less resource. I don't know I can follw this video or not. But will try soon. In Thailand, column and beam are indispensable even for shed like this.
good luck on the build
I plan to build one like this. In Thailand every house build on pilar and beam which not necessary for shed.
thanks for watching
This guy is fucking beast.hats off to his hard work.👌👌👌👌
Thanks for watching, let me know what you think of my other videos
Using templates, using clamps. Far better than most youtubers out there.
thanks for watching, let me know what you think of my other videos, you'll probably like the gazebo build and treehouse build
I know exactly what you are talking about. I had extra hardware and was not sure as to where it was to be used. However, I just happened to see the Exploded View and Parts List at the back of the manual and it did clear up some misconceptions.
yea, it's just surprising that for such a nice tool, the intructions are lacking
How long did this project take?
hard to say, I didn't track it. I have a day job so some days I only got a few hours of work in. I'd say if I was left alone and had all day I'd get it done in a week
Hey, Mister, if I had produced dovetails like that on my second go, I would be made up. Don't be so hard on yourself. They are two beautiful pieces of art. 🙏✨️🙌
Thanks for the kind words!
Nice video. I picked up a set of your plans. I see from your replies that you used a 1.5 HP pool motor. Do you know what the motor's RPM is? I'm hoping to find a decent used motor and don't want it under powered or under speed. I'm sure I could play with pulley sizes if the speed is off, but I bought your plans so I don't have to reinvent the wheel, so to speak 🙂.
I honestly didn't do any math for the pulley sizes and motor RPMs. But what I did ended up working out great. I'd recommend making a few different sized pulleys and stacking them on both the motor and drum, kinda like a drill press so you can change where the belt engages to change the RPMs
Love this! I might have missed it but what species of wood was this build using? Nice work sir!
Thanks for watching. It's all pine, stained with "ready seal" natural cedar color.
Awesome job man!!!

How much would this cost to build using today's prices?
not sure about with todays pricing but it'll be close to 6k. Here is the link to the build plans if you'd like to build it yourself like I did. keimpiece.com/collections/build-plans-digital-files/products/12x24-shed-build-plans
