Love the story of how you got back into gaming.. although my situation was different it reminded me of me when I stopped gaming when I had my first child, not intentional just stopped and never thought about it.. then I had another child.. then all those years I didn't game then covid came along and I was put on furlough. And I downloaded rust and escape from tarkov.. those two games have a special place in my heart.. even 4 or 5 years later

Yeah I mean if you want realistic games, Squad, Insurgency, Arma, all great choices for something a bit more grounded in the real world. This is shooter fantasy stuff, but it's fun if you just accept there's no attempt for this to be "real", just being as videogamey as a videogame can be, esp in the Ghost Recon series
