I'm not crazy about her either
WARNER EFFIN' HODGES!
Are there any other videos from this photo shoot? 😃
There's one for Hot Burrito #1.
amazing music.
this is one of the greatest songs that I have ever heard in my life.
First heard of the Burrito's in the early 70's I loved it then and still do. Even my wife likes them and she was a Cliff Richard fan. (DOH)
Like Hendrix and others Parsons was a shooting star that died quickly. A great loss.
What a line-up of legends for that photo shoot.
The best Cowpunk band.
gorgeous Nudie suits! ❤️🌹
My comment. A great old friend of mine used to cover this in his band Barnyard Slut. Solid guy, good taste, and true musician. Zero pomp. So cheers to that.
Parsons with best friend with Keith Richards for a while during the recording of Exile on Main St in France
Remember me Anita 1971 Covina high School.
The cosmic cowboy 🎶❤️
I've always loved this song, I had it on 45 RPM in the 80s and just about wore it out. That line "Six white horses!" has always stuck with me, love it!! Their live shows were super fun!
I won't state how old I was when I first heard this, but bloody WOW! It's timeless!
Opening shot is inside Hatch Show Print. Still going strong since its founding in Nashville in 1879, although it has since moved from its Lower Broadway location depicted here. Also depicted: Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. At around the 2:29 point, the boys in the band exit the back door of Tootsie's and head across/up the alley to the Ryman Auditorium. That alley is right where they took the cover photo for the "Fervor" EP, their first major label release--they walk right by the same "Welcome Opry Boys" sign.
This is satori.
When this album finally clicks for you your head'll explode. What they were attempting here was very daring at the time, and today we take it for granted. Its a masterpiece and this band deserves way more honor than they've gotten.
Got a nice raw edge to It!!! Worthy of turning way up on volume!!!🎸🎸🎸
I still remember the first time I heard this song something like 15 years ago. I was blown away, it was a sound I hadnt heard before. It still blows me away every time since
Grahm😢❤
I love 2:28 when Gram clears his throat (in the recording) and then mimics it here in this video
Greetings from Las Vegas, Nevada. The gilded desert of sin 🎰
I saw them open for Talking Heads in Nashville in probably 1985. Might have been the best show I ever saw. For a brief moment that year Jason and the Scorchers seemed like the greatest rock band in the world and like their great success was inevitable. That didn't happen but that night he came out in a red devil costume and cowboy hat and the music was loud violent and exciting. It was amazing.
I went to high school in Nville around the same time and some Of us would skip school to see them jam @ the Quad @ Vandy.
look at the nudie suits!
Weird story is that Chris Etherige's suit was stolen and it ended up back at the Nudie suit store in LA where it was then bought by Elton John second hand when he first visited America from England. He wore it on a Top of the Pops video in England while singing Your Song. and it just came to light in 2023 when the suit was found by Chris's daughter and she got it back. That suit is famous.
@@jdenino6022 without Graham there would be no Eagles no Dwight etc so many influences in style and American music
gram parson's voice makes the burrito brother's christine appear loveable, even if the lyrics make her out to be the devil in disguise.
An amazing band leader
Why didn't they get more airplay? They had it all!!
Too early. Too mod for the country stations and too country for the rock ones. Didn't get what they deserved, but boy were they great!
dressed in drug decorated nudie suits, the burritos gave country rock an LA cocaine cowboy chic.
Awesome bob dylan song!
One of my all-time faves!! I listened to this on the way to work today and it made my day. ❤❤👍
Luv those NUDI suits
The only crime committed here was strumming a Telecaster 😆
One of the greatest album covers ever.
I wonder when they will make a movie on Graham parsons
Looks like they put Michael Clarke in the video out of respect (even though he didn't play on the recording). Gram called it American Cosmic Music (rightly so) but as far as Country Rock nothing has ever touched The Gilded Palace of Sin album since - and it really started the whole genre!
I just wanted some background music whilst I make coffee. Now I'm going to have to watch the video of the nightlife.
I'm new to these guys. Good song. Great harmonies. I'd have thought it was Don and Phil Everly from 1959, if I didn't know otherwise. I gather they were Everly fans. I'm a musician--small time. But, I understand the call of the road. And, trying to find 'something'. It can be a terrible temptress. Still, every time I see another victim lose their battle for life, I wish they could have held on. The roll call of such lost souls is long, and, not over. To you out there who decided to abandon that life, to have a family, and survived--you were the real winners. I'd be willing to live without ten of the worlds greatest songs, if ten more names could be added to those who survived. Sorry. This is a lonely-sounding song. When I read GP's story, it drew me in. RIP.
A band I was in 30 years ago used to cover this. I wish we had another crack at it. Such a wild, fun song to play! It’s a rocker…
Gram Parsons has to be entered in the ROCK N ROLL hall of FAME and the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME. The man, Gram Parsons was, is and always be a star for his writing, performance influence on country and Rock. We wouldn't have Emmy Lou Harris, Poco, America, the Eagles without Gram Parsons talent and ability to blend country and Rock. Please. He deserves this honour.
Polly Parsons, Condolences to you. I loved your Dad's music and performance. Let's rally to get your Dad honoured as he should already have been. Let's do what we can do to get Gram into the Rock n Roll hall of Fame and the Country music hall of fame. He deserves every bit of this honour. ❤
I agree he should be there but I thoughy Poco was already going.
Happy Birthday Gram.
🤠⭐You're right. The Cosmic Cowboy!
Gram Parsons for president!
It makes me a little mad that Grams nudie suit is in the Hall of Fame, but Gram isn’t , not right
Jason and the Nashville Scorchers were incredible ❤
Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman ,😎
Gram pioneered Country influenced rock and contributed to straight country music. The dude literally influenced both rock artists and country artists. He needs to be remembered and celebrated
Got this album in '69 right after I heard it. Wore out the first one. My wife (ex) stole the second one. My daughter took my third one and most of my Emmylou albums when she went to college. Never saw those again. Still loving this great music.
❤❤❤she hold the legs of Chris Hillman with natural 😊😌👍❤️ // anyway theses girls are realy cute and sweet
This is an absolute finest recording, no doubt I myself has country Western music influence.
