I have the most offkey type of mixrace hair that I never see on anyone else!lol. Frustrating! For eg there is no way I could go bed with the twists it would literally just come right out and the dam twists dont even stay in! It’s like some type of straight but yet curly frilly hair, always has been a nightmare.

Blaxican here, My Mexican Grandma used to put her Avon perfumed hand cream on my hair cuz my hair was long frizzy and tangled sooo easy! No one knew what to do with my hair! Heck I even still have tangle issues in my 50s and thats why Im here!! ;-)

I’m just trying to figure out why he would detangle DRY hair. That causes breakage.

I'm a male. Multi racial, half black, Irish and Native American. Never had anyone really teach me detangling because I always had my hair short. Now my hair is shoulder length and I want to keep it healthy especially when I sleep. Do I need to have a satin pillow or head wrap?

I dont like having curly hair it hurts whenever my mom tries to comb it... I just want thin hair like my dad so i wont have to worry about anything... but since im a biracial kid it is a struggle😞 😭

There is no such thing as mixed race hair 🙄 especially if you're mixed with Black. I've seen mixed people with much kinkiest hair than this and mostly black people with her looser than this. Could've just said naturally curly hair.

its simple things that stop the hair matting, trims every 6 months, using silicone free products, moisturising leave in, followed by an oil and then a cream, they need too stop using grease, its not working in their hair type obviously!

What products did you use in his hair? Is it just leave in conditioner? I want to do this tonight with my sons hair but not sure where to start with products. I usually wet his hair with a water/conditioner mix and then add leave in conditioner before combing his curls out. Do i need something else to hold/weigh down the twist?

Wish videos were around like this when I was growing up. No one ever wants to style my hair, and now I know why. I learned quite a bit from this video. It's crazy how I have to constantly tell people I can't just wear my hair down. I've been to some of the best salons, and no one with a degree, or years of experience knew what to do with my hair. I'm in my thirties now, and this video gives me hope.

There is a Lil hair machine called the Sister Twister . There's a two stand twister and a three stand twister. I'm it works perfect for these twists. I twisted my daughters hair in less than 45 minutes where it usually would take a while day. Look it up try it! Makes it so much easier. I think it was made for long hair Caucasians but I use it to start LOCS perfectly. :) good luck
