Well I will say this it also says your heart can be hardened and God will stop calling you so don't temp thy lord he loves us all but how can someone say sorry and not mean it if someone loves me and does something bad I will believe them when they are sorry but if someone that has jo respect doesn't cate for me says I'm sorry I'm going to question that one and the good lord will look at your heart when you meet him so you won't have to worry about it do good for him not for fame not for yourself

Repent doesn't mean apologize for your sins, go check the Bible (kjv is the true word of God) God repents more than anyone else in the Bible. God doesn't sin so that's proof it's not asking for forgiveness. It means to turn from an action and the Bible calls that works Jonah 3:10 “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”
