I kinda wnna run away. My dad is super homophobic and dosent support that I'm a therian. For small mistakes I do, he hits me and stuff like that. He hasn't really been there when I needed him and is always relying on my mom. My mom laso sometimes hits me. I walked into the kitchen today, and she saw a giant buiseon my arm, I was not on a long-sleeved shirt. (SH?) she pulled my hair and hit me when she found out. But, I'm scared. I'm a minor with no driving license. Maybe in the future I could run away. On my street, the kids hate me and call me insults for being a therian, and so does my brother.

Tip: try going at the last few days of winter because it will be less cold in the spring summer and fall so you can find a place like a park to stay at!

DO. NOT. RUNAWAY. it is SOOO scary out there trust me when i say people will not help you, HOPEFULLY they call the police, never ever ask someone you dont know to stay over, and running away is just stupid no matter what's going on at home let me explain, you most likely will get the police called on you (Which makes your home life even worse) or get hit by a car or even starve to death trust me moneys not easy to get even if your a little kid, if these dont happen you have high risk of sexual predators and a higher risk of kidnappers that will either sell you or murder you even if these dont happen (which is a very high chance of happing btw) rain wind and other natural causes will probably lead to your death since its way easier to die by wind if your not in a house so listen when i say WAIT TILL YOUR OLD ENOUGH to move out :D

If you need help, talk to someone you can trust and if youre going to run away from home, DONT POST ABOUT IT. It shows your location to millions of people when you are vulnerable without shelter.

Ever since I was born I've lived in an extremely toxic and abusive home, when I was younger I didn't know any better so I tried to run away multiple times, wondering what the rest of the world was like. I have thought about it many, many times but I've never actually done it for real. I only ever snuck out of the house once in my entire life and it felt amazingly freeing, but I haven't tried anything since then. I've just been trying to wait until I'm 18 or 19 to move out/go to college but it's so hard to stay in such a shitty home for the time-being

Had me worried it was some dumb TikTok trend, but if this really is serious and they have a good reason for running away from home. I hope they’re doing okay. It’s just unfortunate that people feel they need to run away, being at home with your parents should be a place to feel safe and welcome in. Unfortunately not all parents are willing to provide that sort of safe space for their children.

Here are some tips. I doubt I would ever run away from home, I’m sure my parents love me, but I need to explain these things. Don’t always stay outside, it’s easy to get sick, bitten, allergic reactions, or kidnapped. Instead, sleep in trains, 24/7 shops, or airports. Don’t just pack a backpack or nothing at all! Pack backpacks and suitcases if it’s not a break, but a real run away. Bring all your food and all your money. If you really are running away, there would be no problem, and you don’t know what could happen. You need it to survive. Charge your iPhone in airports, trains, stores, or anywhere that has a brick. Change your clothes immediately, and don’t wear your normal style *yet* . It’s okay to wear your normal style once you’re far enough. Cutting your hair, wearing a wig, buying new shoes, wearing suffering color eye contacts, just change up your identity as much as possible. If you are planning in running away, and also have been thinking about a new haircut style, DON’T TELL YOUR GUARDIAN! Once you are running away, you can go cut it, and it won’t look too much like you. Take clothes for EVERY. SINGLE. WEATHER. Even if you have months of summer left, you dint where you’ll go, or what could happen, or how long you’ll be out. Only run away if you really think it’s a lot better for you. Running away with a friend boosts your self esteem and your confidence about it. You have more food and more money, and make sure you share. I recommend not writing a letter to your parents, they will send people out immediately for you. If you run away without telling them, you have a way higher chance of getting far out before anyone comes looking for you, therefore not getting caught. Don’t just walk. If you have anything else like a bike, a scooter, a car, public transportation, do it. Turn your phone on airplane mode or throw away everything about your old phone and get a completely fresh one without adding your old data in to it. This will make it harder to track you down. Lots of stores have free WiFi, so you can connect to that. HAVE A PLAN. Walk around the neighborhood multiple times the month before so you know what your plan would be. How far you’d go in one day, where you could sleep, which direction you could go, etc. trust me, that’s super important. *Let me know if I should add more tips*

If you REALLY need to do this here are some tips (don’t reccomend fr doing this unless you litterally have to or were kicked out) Bring the essentials like toothbrushes, etc (if u don’t have them get them from a friend) Have a pop up tent for shelter, Have pepper spray in case idk stranger danger You can get full on mints really easily so get them from dollar store but eat real food too (1 mint = half a meal fr it’s helpful) and not the fluffy or colorful mints the classic hard red and white ones Bring money and make enough money for food Dollarstore is ur bsf. You can get clothes, pillows and hygiene stuff from there (5 dollar section) and food and everything (litterally) from there (the one dollar section has real food and useful things too) You can charge and use electronics you bring at restraints and stuff like that cause WiFi and power outlet things Be safe if u NEED to do this and don’t if it’s not that bad ❤

If your planning on running away please don’t especially if you have siblings. Last year in October my brother ran away. Everyone is my family tried contacting him snapchat , WhatsApp , email , messages everything. But he blocked us. He was gone for one day , I cried that whole day I would not leave my room and I would barely eat. The amount of unnecessary guilt you feel , it feels like your the one who made them leave. We luckily found him at a train station when he was waiting to get on a train. I tear up just thinking about it.

Just sneak out during night and don’t go to far from your home, to sneak out just bring some snacks, something to see clearly, a jacket and some things to defend yourself. DON’T RUN AWAY!! Please don’t , prevent the police first but if you are in a VERY EXTREME SITUATION!! Even if shouting and being beaten is hard , prevent the police. If it’s a situation when your life is in danger , do it. But if you really want to run away for no reason or other reasons , sneaking out is the best solution! Also bring a sibling if you want , NOT a friend because if it’s too far from home you might need to leave your home « area » and get in danger! Except the friend is prepared and lives REALLY near like a door nearby, do it with the friend!

my personal tips <33 if u need to talk to someone I check my notifications every day!! what to bring: -food (bring non perishable stuff and try to stay healthy) -depending on if ur running away for a while or not bring lots of water bottles -clothes -blankets maybe -pillow -backpack (duh) -money -charger -defense items tips!! -try to be as safe as you can -hide ur bags or use those as pillows when u sleep!!! -try to charge ur phone anywhere u can -MAKE SURE U HAVE ALL THE BASIC SUPPLIES!! if u have any questions reply to me!!
