Not sure of the exact year, I've read differing opinions, but this demo definitely from the late-78, 79-80 era.

Elizabeth Hartman - A Cinderella Named Elizabeth
Like it but it needs Mitch Weismann and Joe Pecorino on b/u vox
Elizabeth Hartman was so wonderful in her performance I wanted to cry because I truly got into the storyline that made me feel sad for the character she played. She received an academy award for this performance. I wished she won!
Whenever I pass through Ohio on my way to Chicago, I always stop and leave flowers at Elizabeth Hartman's grave. I don't need to say more.
People who knew her said she had the most flawless pale skin...wow it really show in this color footage of her. She was always beautiful, but was especially striking when she had her dark brown hair and brown eyes made up-the contrast with her light skin was amazing
loved her in a patch of blue and walking tall
Can't believe she went from this to Progressive. Great Job!
I hate when talent goes to waste. Her voice brought me here. The Secret of NIMH.
A very pretty lady and one in a million actresses...she was beautiful, talented and had a very unique acting ability..that many actors do not have.
I think I hear Mrs. Brisby in that soft voice of hers!
Hearing her voice just makes me cry...
I remember, Elizabeth Hartman has played Mrs Brisby because it doesn’t talk?
Depression, an infernal, cowardly illness to steal her life from her. RIP, Elizabeth.
How chilling among the first words spoken are "a dream come true" when it was, for Bif, a nightmarish hell. She was quoted the film ruined her life because she wasn't prepared for instant success. Hopefully she enjoyed a few magical moments before darkness descended and swept her away. RIP.
Since the first time I saw this movie, I was amazed about it. The story, the cast, the music everything fits perfectly. E. Hartmann was one the big surprises of the 60's. Talented, charismatic and uncomplicated E. H. made it easy and unforgettable at the same time. R. I. P. Elizabeth and thank you forever.
Happy Birthday Biff
Rich Allen did you know her when she was alive?
Yeah - I have always liked this version more. Reminds me of Chris Bell of Big Star A LOT. Does anyone know if there are physical bootlegs?
It's like she's always munching on something.... i wonder what it could be....
shes been gone thirty years, what a sweet little gal. I only wish her career could of went farther, but I guess because of her depression and bad career choices she was unable to have a happy and success full life she most justly deserved.
not my proudest diaper, but i will ware it with grace
Flo's earlier days when she still did a lot of drugs
Mrs Brisby! ❤︎
Stephanie Courtney is so funny she seriously needs to be on saturday night live and do more parodys. lmfaoo love this
One of the best movies ever made. A Patch of Blue is truly my favorite movie. Elizabeth Hartman was superb as Selena. Her light has been gone for a while, but she will never be forgotten.
Enjoy this version better
Ive been looking for this video all night finally found it, Great movie for all time it would be nice if everyone nowadays saw it and help us remember love and friendship has no skin color. Im gonna make a reboot and tribute it to beautiful Elizabeth.
Love this movie! Found out there was a short documentary about this and was glad to find out.
The movie, A Patch of Blue, has always been in my peripheral view for years. I've seen bits and pieces here and there but never watched the movie in its entirety until the other day when it was on TCM. I was in tears by the end of the film. tears of joy, sadness, yearning. The emotions that are still with me days after seeing it. I've watched it "On Demand" now at least three additional times. I realize that the film's "message" was about civil rights issues that were prevalent in the 60's and that message wasn't lost on me but it's superficial appeal about two people that would probably have never found one another because of their diverse backgrounds, did find one another and loved each other for no ulterior motives other than who they were inside. This is probably the most beautiful love story on film I've seen.
personality test?!?! this is wild.
I think this is a little later than 1975 ... maybe 77 ...sounds like a demo for the 78 solo record
He could have wrote it and recorded the demo in 75 and put it on the 78 solo album. Definitely doesnt sound like a song KISS would all agree on.
a great film, beautiful lady
Didn't know that was flo I came to watch the eric background dancers
Demos are interesting, but the final produced cut is so much better in this case...
Most of the time I tend to dig the rougher, edgier demo versions compared to polished official KISS releases, but that's just me. ;-)
Interesting, but I like the produced cut so much...
I do too actually. It's weird because I'm not much of a fan of live albums at all, but I kinda like a lot of demos over the official releases. I love both versions of this song though! .
This is a great track either way. I never believed Gene's story that he almost reunited The Beatles for his album but Ringo said no and everything collapsed.
I just don't understand what made Elizabeth Hartman so depressed that she committed suicide.
Depression is a disease. I also think that back in the day there wasn't nearly as much help as there is now. Perhaps if Elizabeth was living now she could've gotten help.
Don't know how to say it other than it is like carrying inside an ocean filled with all the tears in the world. RIP to Bif. I believe I understand.
A sad sad end to an extremely bright and beautiful talent. Well all miss you, Elizabeth!
I LOVE TOM GOES TO THE MAYOR!
r.i.p. Elizabeth. To me you'll always be Mrs. Brisby...
Same, I just found out today she passed on, through reading about classic cartoon actresses is how I stumbled on her story. I'm currently watching on Sprout TV The Rescuers, then I searched the cast, realizing voice actress that played Mrs Bianca passed as well. hope they're resting in peace.
What a sweetie, so terribly sad what happened... :(
Beautiful and talented Elizabeth. :'( Rest in Peace, sweet angel.
i love this movie. her accent is definitely not ohioan though! must be the transatlantic accent. and whoa is sydney handsome!
I love the transatlantic accent. It's a shame it no longer exists.
Went to Ms. Hartman's grave site today to pay my Respect's. On the anniversary of her passing.
Mmm..edible hotnastiness.
I wish we could all see the whole of this film. Maybe one day
She is probably the most beautiful actress I have seen in my life. Elizabeth was a very talented and gorgeous woman and it's really sad that she wasn't able to realize that suicide wasn't the answer when she decided to end her life. She also happened to voice mrs brisby in the secret of nimh which was one of my favorite movies as a kid and today Its in either my top ten or top five favorite movies of all time. rest in peace ms elizabeth hartman you sweet beautiful angel. You will forever be missed by many including myself.
*Willie Gordon* where did you hear that? The woman was depressed for most of her adult life and suicidal toward the end. Apparently she'd attempted to contact her shrink the day she jumped out of the window.
a lovely woman . such a shame to see her pass away . rip Elizabeth Hartman .
some people are so sensitive to everything around them . she was nominated for Best Oscar for this role. god bless this beautiful creature who touched my soul so deeply .
Is there any chance that she did this 10 years earlier?: czcams.com/video/5EQ4vXpTigA/video.html Looks and acts like little Biff would just 10 years earlier...
wonderful. thanks so much for sharing
This is and will always be my favorite movie of all time! I cannot believe I have never seen this little clip until now! R.I.P. Ms. Hartman. Her role was and will always be brilliantly heartbreakingly beautiful.
+Brent Eskew Yes, this movie, and My Sweet Charlie were the best.
Thanks so much for this! APOB is 1 of my all time favourite movies and I never saw any featurette untill now. So glad I found this :-)
I love it of course! She was a timeless beauty.
