I don't think so. In the JP dub Dartz calls him "Nameless Pharaoh" repeatedly, and even in the English dub Dartz just calls him "Pharaoh".

Lol not at all. Darts was not phased by Zorc/Bakura because the Great beast possessed greater powers than Zorc. He was the ultimate reincarnation of evil, NOT Zorc.

@@marcellusjohnson9439 wrong Dartz said Bakura/Zorc got in his way back then to obtain the pharaohs soul. Meaning he was too strong for him to confront, and the Leviathan couldn’t beat the Egyptian gods while Zorc did with ease.

@Film Goblin I’ve debated this same argument many times on forums like this and debunked every single one that states Zorc was stronger than the Leviathan. Dartz didn’t interfere because the pharaoh was focused on Bakura; meaning Dartz did not need to interfere as HE KNEW HIS TIME WOULD COME; Presumably from the Oricalchos which had the power to predict future events with pinpoint accuracy. As for your already debunked rant about Zorc being stronger than the Leviathan; the Egyptian Gods were powered by the same infinite strength that was used to to destroy Zorc except THEY WEREN’T COMBINED INTO HORAKYTY. With Zorc, they were only fueled by their unique normal powers. The Leviathan had 2 forms; a body which could be destroyed by the power of the eternal light of Horus (the Egyptian Gods not physically combined together, but their power working the same way) and his shadow form which could ONLY BE DESTROYED BY THE PHARAOH OVERCOMING THE DARKNESS IN HIS MIND. @@marcellusjohnson9439 Dartz and the Leviathan are filler and have zero real impact on the over arching story. They're not even in the manga. They were created for a trash filler arc that does little more than contradict previously established lore and create numerous plot holes. A filler arc that is so flimsy with its own rules and has virtually no real power scaling simply for the sake of having a big scary boss monster with a ludicrous and nonsensical attack number. So no Dartz is not more powerful than Thieve King Bakura, and no the Leviathan is most definitely not more powerful than Zorc

@Hylian Glitchmobber Thank you for your commentary. Albeit, you are echoing the same rhetoric that I have debunked many times. The anime is simply another adaptation of Yu-gi-oh that is PURPOSELY created different from the manga with having a more commercially-centered aim where as the manga was created for underground entertainment purposes. As for your statement around the comparison between the Great Leviathan and Zorc I’ve already explained what makes the Leviathan stronger in the aforementioned comment. The Leviathan’s bodily form is equal to Zorc’s bodily form which is why it could be defeated by the Egyptian Gods. The Egyptian Gods combined the power of all the captured souls which represents the power of Horus (HORAKYTY). However, this still wasn’t enough to take down the Great Leviathan because as the writers have stated the shadow form of the great beast cannot be defeated under conventional standards of “sealing evil away”. Instead, it had to be sealed within the mind and heavenly plain of Atem whose soul is representative of the Creator of Light’s power. Zorc, on the other hand, had a defeating mechanism in place. He is sealed by the name of the pharaoh and power of his God handle (Horus). In closing, you may continue to sprout the same rhetoric as you wish, but I have already eclipsed others and just once again reinforced my argument with support and information gathered from the series and the topics surrounding this. Now, I dare you to respond ☺️

That vision was of the actual past witnessed by Dartz, not Atem's memory replay. Notice how Diabound gets knocked down by Obelisk instead of matching him with the Blue-Eyes blast he had absorbed for the replay. But yes, it would've been cool to watch how everything originally played out instead of having a rpg shadow game themed around it.

@@Berat-zk7uw yep. Just another plot hole created by season 4. Especially because in the manga and Japanese anime the final season is Atem reliving the days leading up to his death. In the original timeline Bakura wins but gets sealed away before he can finish summoning Zorc

This is why he sealed his memories away with zork instead of summoning Horakthy and oneshotting zork? I though Atem was the chosen king and only he knew the names of the gods even back in the first time 5000 years ago. Or maybe he was the chosen king because he would come back from the future with knowledge of the names of the gods?
