    Had PMR for about a year before properly diagnosed. Orthopedist gave me steroids but only for a short period. They worked, but doctors were reluctant to prescribe. I finally got diagnosed by a rheumatologist and he put me on 15mg, and tapered me down. I’m now at 3.5mg and doing well. Hope to be off in the next month or so. Also working on improving my diet, reducing carbs and seed oils, eating more in line with keto

    I'm 15 years old and I just had an avulsion fracture about 6 weeks ago, had surgery, and was put in a full leg cast for 6 weeks. The doctor said it will take a full year to make a recovery and return back to high level sports (I play basketball). I just got the cast off and I am in a brace, with the doctor saying I will be able to walk in an additional 2-3 months. The worst part is being in crutches this entire time, you can't do anything and school/everyday activities are so difficult. To anyone with knee pain or osgood-schlatters, I warn you that playing through the pain can cause you to entirely have to stop playing for a very long time. I wish I could've told myself this a few months ago. I recommend you guys to completely wait until your growthspurt is over and you're growth plates have closed (you can check this with your doctor), to keep playing.

Have had many anti sickness injections prior for my migraines and never had this nor had been told about it or the complications that could occur. I was an ironworker,,, I was doing something called "carbon arcing".. its like burning with a torch ,, I was in a tight position,, laying on my side ,, when I struck the arc , that instint a ball of hot molten lava bounced into my left ear,, I heard a loud POP,, as the 3000degree ball of lava melted my eardrum,, and everything else,,, from that moment june 9 th 2022,, 1:34 p.m.,, I have suffered SEVERE tinitus ,, lost my hearing of course in that ear,, and i suffer from SEVERE vertigo,,, after the E. R. visit I was referred to an E. N. T . specialist ,, he took one look inside and saw the extent of the damage ,,, he said he was referring me to who he thought was the best surgeon in the area,,, this was during covid so dr. Appointments were months of waiting ,, I finally saw the new dr,,, he looked in and ran hearing tests ,, balance tests ,, hooked up a monitor and it was flatlined,, said the damage was so "thermally " damaged ,, BURNED,, that he would attempt to patch what was left of the eardrum ,, but because of scar tissue,, blood flow , ect,,, he wouldn't even attempt it for at least 9 months ,,, and I was told I have "mixed" hearing loss,, so both ... This happened at work ,, doing my job ,, I followed procedure,, reported it,, sent to hospital,, ect,,, so on top of the injury ,, which I consider a third degree burn INSIDE my ear ,, workmans compensation has denied my claim ,,, literally trying ANYTHING they can to deny it ,, every stall tactic there is , they have used ... Inba supposed "no fault system".. I am fighting with them ,, I have a lawyer ... The mental wear of just the LOUD RINGING alone is unbearable!!,, the sleepless nights ,, the aggravation,, the depression,, the brain fog !!!!,, and the fact im dizzy constantly!!,, as an ironworker for 28 years,, its all I know ,, but it takes BALANCE to walk beams hundreds of feet in the air !!,, the doctor refuses to "get involved",, saying he doesnt do that ,, but would gladly share my medical records ,,, and the judge said,, "I dont see where it says i can't work"!!!!!.. COMMON SENSE WOULD TELL ANYONE I CANNOT PERFORM MY JOB !!!!!!!!,, so im permanently injured,, haven't worked in two years,, lost Everything IVE ever worked for ,,house,,boat,, Harley ,, car,, all gone,, still need surgery ,,, still fighting workman's compensation,,, waiting on yet another court date ,,, they have already hired two different surveillance trams to watch me ,, they found me doing nothing ,, because i can't ,,, ive had to go to a mental health professional,,, i have P. T S. D. because of the actual injury ,, I have nightmares about the inside of my ear melting ,, while I'm trapped in a tight area,,, the pain was un imaginable ... This is my story ,, tinitus alone is life altering!!!!.. mentally exhausting !!... Add everything else im dealing with on top of it !!! If your reading this ,, Anyone ,, send prayers 🙏,, that is all I ask ,,, there needs to be change in the workmans compensation system,,, im not the only one they do this to!!,, if anyone is having tinitus ,, your not alone ,, you can talk to me anytime !!..

    I have this right now after simply using a wooden dental pick to clean my gums. I used the tooth pick on monday evening which caused an infection that spread rapidly to my throat and on Wednesday, today, I can’t walk, spent the night in the ER, and I can only walk with the aid of crutches, but just barely, it’s so painful. However, my father is a doctor so he diagnosed me immediately and I took an antibiotic as soon as I had the rapid spreading throat infection.

    This happened to me when I was 36 years old and 110 lbs. The doctor's in the hospital told me that it was bad vasculitis from standing and walking on my feet to long. They done a lot of tests on me and told me that i was a borderline diabetic and that I have Lupus and heart problems and high blood pressure. Now that I am older I stay off my feet as much as possible because they still swell and hurt. I have the scars from the ulcers and nerve damage in my foot. I hope that my legs and feet will never get like that again because it was scary and painful. Thank you for explaining it and educating us about it.

    • @debraneal2859
      @debraneal2859 Před 2 dny

      @@jesusvilla3583 Yes I did. both of my legs were red and swollen really big. They had fluid coming out of my skin and bleeding ulcers with fever. Burning and itching. My house shoes and socks were wet with blood and fluid. It was so bad in my left leg and foot that the doctor told me that they might have to amputate it but I begged them not to do it. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and spent two years going to the wound care clinic. They told me to keep a close watch on my legs and feet incase of a relapse. Now when I see someone with swollen legs and feet I tell them to go to their doctor. Because it's not nothing to ignore. I learned the hard way. It is serious.
