Do you remember what size the 4 bolts are that hold on the axle seal cover is please n thank you
Very detailed good job.
Thanks for the bearing specs. Just did them. Lots of heat, broken puller but they came out.
You sound very Knowledgeable so I'll ask, is it possible to add a bucket to a YM1400? Thanks
Hello, could you tell me the dimensions and weight of that tractor? Gracias y saludos.
I got a ym1500 great tractor but seems scarry on small slopes
Just got my first Yanmar ! It’s a YM1300 and so far it’s a great tractor ! Just put a new FBK Assembly. Runs great and it has only 90 hours. It’s a 1978.
This video is a lifesaver!! I just got my first tractor, a YM1500 2WD. I have been concerned about the hydraulic fluid level and condition. The previous owner didn’t mention the dipstick in a different location. I did pick up 10 gallons of fluid, and just received my replacement steering gear, which I’m gonna install today if the rain will stop! Thanks for your great videos!
Just got an old ym 1500 that's been setting these are very helpful thanks 😊
You are not a great tech yourself, but an incredible down to earth teacher too.. God bless n PEACE indeed..cheers..Carl
Iv got the ym155d iv owned for 2 years now its been a awsome tractor
China made iv ran it to it befor
good one. thank you
I am looking to get a yanmar 1500d with front end loader for firewood hobby/business. Do you think a front end loader on the 1500d would be able to lift logs weighing 600-700 pounds?
42" is NOT 4'.
It will be interesting to see how that under-driven front axle behaves if you need 4wd. I think that tractor was supposed to come with the 5-14 front and 8.3-22 rears, ratio of 1 : 0.64, your current set-up should put you in a 1 : 0.58 ratio. Assuming you have an 8.3-22 ag tire on the back, you would have been using a 1 : 0.69 ratio. I've heard you can get away with over-driving the fronts better than you can under-driving them. I look forward to hearing your experience with this experiment, how the backlash in the gears behaves when going from pulling (in a traction limited spot) to then being pushed by the bigger rear tires when they regain traction. A front tire 28.7" tall will get you back to factory ratio. Your a smart guy and would have figured these numbers out on your own, I just plugged them into my spreadsheet because I am a nerd like that. Love the channel, cheers!
Great idea! well done. looking forward to the steering box tear down
Much obliged for this - since I don’t read Japanese and all…
I have a YM1610D damn good little tractor…….
how much did you end up getting it for? I found one by me for $5500 and has a pretty sweet front bucket loader with it but I don't know what good pricing is on these rigs. Cheers!
Keep these videos coming !!
Well I'm glad I investigated it some before I started to tear mine apart... I was also worried about not being able to pull the axle without getting into the rear end. My tractor is red but it WAS originally that puke green color. It's a 78 ym195D. So should I be able to pull the axle on mine right from the hub? I've done a lot of axle seals in semi trucks and like ford 9 inch and gm rear ends but I've never dug very deep into a tractor. I'm doing it outside also so, I want to know what I'm up against before I get started... I'm going to do the seal, the sleeve and possibly bearings and race while I'm right there depending on how they look. I have very little knowledge on its history unfortunately. Thanks
How is parts availability on that tractor
I pick up 1700. Yeah can get pretty much everything motor and chassis.
I recently bought a re-furbished 1976 Yanmar 1500D. It is in fine shape and I really like it. I want to make sure I maintain it correctly. Can anyone recommend appropriate brand/weight Engine Oil, Transmission Lube, Steering Gearbox (?) Lube. I acquired a re-print Yanmar service manual but it is not specifically for a 1500D and is not very clear on lube change procedures. I've looked quite a bit on line but the only thing that looks available is in Japanese.
Thank you so much i've owned 2 Yanmar tractors but never knew how this thing worked. Thanks again
Hvala
Yes , Yanmar 1500D is the best off small tractor category !👌👍😊
Nice video, very informative. Thank you for posting!!
Thanks!
Hello dear, is it possible to put another fluid, such as Soil, instead of Hydrowick for the Yanmar My 1500 machine? Thank you.
I love my YM 1720D .
Nice little tractor. We bought a little homestead with 3 acres and I'm researching what equipment I need to mow the pasture and move things around.
We need more tractor videos!!!
Sir, do you clean off any of the rust before you paint? I have an 82 YM 1810D with loader. I completely took the loader apart and striped down to bare metal to paint it. In the prices of doing that for the tires. As for the body, it has some very light rust in places and was wondering if I should just paint over em with rust o oleum farm green? Let me know what your thoughts are.
I rebuilt both sides on my ym155d knuckle seal still leaks but not bad realy a bad set up a buddy has a kubota b7100 it has never leaked
Were do you suggest that I buy parts for my 1510D.
Thanks for the video and keeping it easy to understand. I have a 1975 Yammer 1700
Я так у ухо съёмника сломал😅
Where are you located? I'm in Georgia. I need help on my yanmar
nice job. keep the videos coming.
Good job. Looking forward to your future videos. I have the Yanmar 2000. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the great video. Your custom pvc friction washer will work better than a rubber washer. The pvc will rotate easily whereas the rubber may bind.
That’s kind of what I figured plus it was a lot easier to cut PVC into a washer compared to cutting up a cunk of rubber. Actually have been using the tractor a while with the pvc washer, and it’s been working very very well!
did you ever use 4wd or is it full time 4wd
Where did you get the bearings?

I’m still in the process of getting mine repaired and serviced I’m just about finished with it I got a few more things I need to do it for example ;new front tires 3 point hitch and some other small parts ; I got to drive it around a little bit and I I cant wait to actually use it to see what it can actually do from the videos you’ve posted it looks like yours has potential I hope mine will have the same great video as always
Don't you prefer a 3 cylinder engine? I own a YM 180D
I personally love the 2 cylinder, probably because that was the first tractor I had, I really love the sound of them, and just the raw simplicity of the way they are built.
@@YANMARCENTRAL Oh ok, good to you man if it gets the job done, I honestly will always prefer a 3 cyl, mine works just fine, too bad it doesn't have a better transmission, it's a 8F and 2R only
Hey bro i got a brand new yanmar sa series. Left it int he woods last night and it hit 10 degrees and xouldnt start it all day. Can you help me?
Need a longer chain. You should've been on top the hill when you started pulling. I'm saying this, because so many people have died from tractors front end lifting up and the entire tractor flipping back on them. Don't get confident in your machine, it'll kill you before you even know it
Which gear where you in for most of the video? How does the machine handle the weight on the back end? Is reverse gear low enough to back into heavy brush and not have to depress the clutch and PTO?
I was in 1st and 2nd gear high range for most of the video, it handles the weight well, i had to come up a few steep hills and it did ok, but I do have the extra weight on the front end. I go to reverse low range when backing, especially for bug brush or technical. reverse gear high range is too fast for most things, it’s almost the same speed a 3 high range in forward. I would also bet the tractor doesn’t have enough power to run reverse high range over big brush. Thanks for watching!
@@YANMARCENTRAL thanks for the info 😁
Well I was wondering how it would handle the 4 ft bushog. I have a Bolens GT17 that has a 4 ft belly mower and want to go to a 4 ft hog.
I’m not sure what kind of belly mower you have but, finish mowers take more power to run than a bush hog. I have been very happy with the performance of the bush hog on my tractor
It came with it when the tractor was purchased new. It was on it when I bought it last spring. And yes it seems to take a lot of power to run it. It's pto driven with a gearbox and a very long belt to the mower deck. The back end mounts on the 3 point hitch.
