You are the reason that I got one. After talking to you about it, and finally being able to hold one in store, I went ahead and picked one up. I didn't buiild mine, though. I bought the FN version and am very happy with it.

I can agree with the 20", but not with the lack of free float.

I have an a2 clone, for me I learned on iron sights and no other attachments on the gun. The attachments are just not for me, I like the polymer handgaurd better than a metal one, the full length fixed stock is perfect for me at 6ft tall.

It’s funny but I’m in the same boat as you. Bought an Acog 4 or 5 months ago for an 18.5” Bren 2. Couldn’t agree more with your video man. Lack of availability of acogs in Canada I ended up with the circle ⭕️ reticle which is a nightmare to zero at 100 on the top crest of the circle 👎

had same exact rifle in the marines then I got an m4 at a different duty station which is so much lighter considering u be carrying that shit around all day lol

Sure, how the hell am i going to get one? Just finding the RAS is an unmitigated nightmare, and the scam artists who do have them want to sell the aluminum and plastic for more than the rifle itself. The sight alone is like 300, and knights' armament themselves dont have the production ability to make enough, apparently, to sell to the public because the cartel who the government gives all the rifles too and apparently the taliban now are buying up all the furniture since they were given millions of free rifles. Would i love to have a clone? Sure, but i dont have a trust fund to help me buy one. So ill settle for my nice boring green furniture A2 with round grips and carry handle.

As much as my troopers complained about the length of their A2s, I liked it.

That thing is an ergonomic nightmare, at least to me. I miss the smooth lines of older guns.

I have an A2 and a A3 clone so that is good for me. The A4 is o ly if the price is right. But the 20 inch barrel is the way to go.

To have the true clone the upper and lower receiver need to bang around like cans tied to a bumper. This needs to be a 6moa rifle if it is truly a clone.

Trained with the M16A4 in Basic, M16A2 in AIT, Deployed with a 249, and the rest of my FAM Fires and remainder of my training was with the M4A4. Nothing beat the M16A4 I loved every minute I had with it.

I took the M16A4, and I replaced the drop in quad rail, with a 12" free float quad rail. It still looks the part, unless you notice that the Delta Ring is not there, and instead, there is a flush quad Rail against the upper receiver. I went with a lightweight barrel to offset the weight of the quad rail. Itis a great shooter, about 1.5" group size at 100 yards. Others may get a smaller group as my eyes are old and I don't see as well as I used to 40 years ago when I was an Army infantryman.

Love it. Exactly what I carried in asscrackistan. But when I got out of the Corps, I got an FNH M4 CE...not the M16. The M16 is great but I LOVE the M4.

I'm English, so of course we're told we're too stupid and incompetent - by our condescending Narcissistic politicians - to defend ourselves or our property (despite the UK Police force getting progressively more impotent - though there are still plenty of good, hard working officers who do their best...). That being said, if I were blessed with the ability to own my own firearms, I'd pick an M16-clone over any carbine. If I end up in close-quarters battles, then I've already made a huge number of mistakes in my book.

I made a GWOT clone but with an FNA4 upper and KP15 lower for weight savings. I free floated the rail with the A2 sight, to this day it's the most accurate AR I own. Armor penetration and universal ammo compatibility is a nice touch. Also, obligatory Hop/BrassFacts/James Reeves clone comment 😅

The A4 was my issued service rifle. I am intimately familiar with it. I wouldn't be without it in my collection, it was an absolute must have for me.
