I love how Aragon and the mouth of Sauron Doesn’t know they both are the last Númenórean descendent.

Whoever wrote Theoden’s line in the script was genius. “Ride for ruin and the world’s ending!!!” The LOTR has so many powerful themes that can be applied right up to today even though it was written 75 years ago. This scene is one such theme. Are you courageous enough to do what’s right, answer the call for aid, even though it might not only cost you your life but the end of all things as well? Is living in a world of perpetual evil and torment, devoid of love and joy and goodness, preferable to risking everything up to and including the destruction of the world itself in order to fight & redeem a world that’s gone insane? The people in Tolkien’s day made their answer known, it was a resounding “Hell Yeah it’s worth the risk”. Today, I’m not so sure what the answer among the western nations would be.

*Old Greybeard* actually a good insult from *Sauron* refusing to recognize/adress him as *Gandalf the White* And yes its *Sauron* speaking in the beginning, if you listen carefully you can him speak his dark speech in the wind with his mouth translating, later on after the armor you cannot hear *Sauron* anymore.
