I had my timing belt done and the car came back noisy !!! like overhead noise!! even my son who knows nothing about cars said whats up with the motor it sounds like its going to blow up. I asked the mechanic and he pulled the covers all off again and re checked it. Said you cant get it wrong...anyway 2 weeks later car stopped and came up with number 4 glowplug...i pulled it out and the tip was broken off and then i pulled the injector out and the tip of that was melted off !!! i turn the motor over by hand and it was locked up almost on a full turn but then jammed. Like it was hitting a bent valve or something. Never had an issue with the car ever until the cambelt was done. I think the mechanic fucked up. cant prove it. Maybe the timing was advanced and burnt the cylinder. ?? im pissed off.

Hey, question for you. I just changed my fuel filter on my mk6 CJAA golf. Ive done this procedure multiple times. This time, I can get it to crank. I added some more fuel to the canister but still, no crank. I typically use Mann fuel filters but this time I went with a Hengst E19H D83. Think it could be the filter?

Hello, please for help, before one month ago I have wash up the engine and after that come out error "Bank 1, camshaft position / crankshaft position sensor - incorrect assign" on diagnostic. I want to ask because the hole where the sensor is mounted is big so it is possible this ring with teeth can be displaced out of position in case water comes in this place? I can't see from video where is this ring fixed on the axis.

I had problems with this type of turbocharger overspeeding and completely broke down on a engine in a man overboard boat after I don't know how many start/stop each Saturday routines onboard making the wastegate clogged with carbon deposits. I made a small device for the crew to be able to check if it's moving or not each Saturday and before launching the boat in the water in case of an emergency and crew gives full speed to avoid turbo breakdown again because of stuck wastegate. I was rewarded 3000$ for that simple device. Do you use to check movement as well or do you just wait for customers to come in with a turbo problem? I have a question. when replacing the belt, the tension indicator was in the middle of the gap. after a few kilometers I went to see the condition and noticed that the indicator is no longer in the middle of the gap, but in the middle of the metal after the gap. is this OK? or should I do everything again?

Excellent step by step demonstration. Just completed this service today and went smoothly. Much faster on the second side of course. I used the small VW tool to spread the housing but I think it bears mentioning a small but important thing; Turn the tool until it sits 90 degrees from vertical. It will wedge itself in place and then you can go about removing and/or replacing the strut from the housing. I bolted everything together below before installing the upper strut bolts, which made it easier for me. I could use a floor jack to lift the whole assembly into place. One other thing: if you have a large impact gun, turn the steering wheel right or left to improve access to the strut bolts. Simple! Thanks again for creating this how-to video 👍🏼

The Transit is the first Turbo I've owned with a VNT. I bought a new one and had it replaced, never knowing really what it did. The magic words here were 'a VNT system doesn't have a BOV" or something to that effect.

This is the best bearing desing ever. You can just replace it at home no problem. On my passat B5 unfortunately the bearing is pressed in so that sucks.

I removed the ABS sensor and wirebrushed the hell out of my hubs before treating with rust killer and applying a liberal dose of antiseize. After 190k the old bearings were well rusted in there and a bear to get out. I shouldn't ever have to go in there again, but if I do I'll have an easier time next time.
