10/10 Will still Fargoth's ring again. No regrets. The best part is that a new generation will be introduced to one of the greatest RPG games ever that otherwise wouldn't have been looked at because of the outdated graphics and gameplay,

this project peaks my interest above all games that have released in the last 15 years, and games that have been announced... i am more interested in this release than RD3 GTA6 TES6 FO5 and even above STALKER2

@@ILoveEvadingTax There's a huge turnover in this mod. People come to this mod to work a little bit and get experience for their resume to get a job as a designer. With this approach, this mod will never come out

Skyrim is older now than Morrowind was when Skywind first started development

Just one question, how much of skywind is compatible with morrowind as far as quests and "essence of morrowind" goes? Is it like 90% compatible meaning that it doesnt have a lot of new things but hasnt "left anything out" ? By the way amazing job guys, wish you the best.
(Disclaimer - I'm affiliated with the project but not an actual dev) I think that would be a good way to put it, though of course it depends on what you consider the "essence of Morrowind". The team is doing their hardest to embelish the great foundation of the original game while staying respectful to the source material. At the end of the day, it will be up to your judgment to see if this fulfills your expectations. But personally, I can say that I've been very impressed with what I've had the opportunity to see so far and I think that when it's out, I might consider Skywind the definitive way to experience Morrowind.
@@savlecz1187 Well the best way I can put it is: is Skywind a (close enough) replacement of morrowind? Such that if I played skywind without playing morrowind I would not be missing anything?
@@JustAnotherObserver5703 As far as I know, yes. You'll be missing some gameplay features very specific to the Morrowind experience which did not age well or are too different from what is expected of modern games (such as chance-based combat), but content-wise Skywind should be a very complete recreation of Morrowind's quests, NPCs and mechanics. It adds rather than detracts from what was in the original game.

Looking amazing so far but I have to be honest about one thing. I realy dont like those hexagonal cliff assets. Imo it was the biggest mistake Bethesda made in the dlc. It makes areas look like minecraft.

Treasure trove for Bethesda. Every. Single. Asset. is now their property once it releases as a Mod - and they can and probably will monetize them in one way or another. I dont think they will "steal" the whole mod, but lots of the work will get reused in future projects for sure.
Not quite how that works.
They're not going to monetise assets for a 15 year old game. They also aren't likely to re-use them, and even if they are, good, if it means getting a damn game out quicker lol.
Super excited to see this finished! It sounds like Skyblivion is closer to being finished (and they have a hard ship date of 2025!) but I'm hopeful that the volunteers over there will pivot to Skywind when that's completed and help get this over the finish line!
