Don't Use Zip-ties With Your Weed Wacker
Simply put zip ties are not made to be used in a weed wacker. You can take my word for it, or you can try it yourself.

Try washing line with plastic on the outside and steel on the inside.
Thank you for debunking this theory. Just tried it twice today myself. Second time, I just said forget it.
Hahaha! Don't use it to cut a forest. No it won't cut that over-growth! Terrible comparison. You bought the cheapest? I call it a success! I'm going to buy some now because of your video.
well it wont cut through hard branches or stones if they are mixed in with your grass but generally just on a lawn with soft grass ... they do a pretty good job!
Maybe buy thicker zip ties?
they snapped because you cinched them tight dummy! Leave them loose, I've never had a problem
I use zip ties and the trick is to not get it too tight.
Can’t believe he goes so close to the extension lead.
Just use thicker weed eating string and tie knots on the inside. It takes way longer for them to wear out.
Funny thing. I did my garden using zip ties and it was done in half the time and not having to change the ties once.
Thank you for this
Metal zip ties work great.
Why wouldn't you orient your zip ties so the thinner profile contacts the weeds.... The fat side just slaps the weeds SURELY. Spin them 90 degrees seems so obvious
Yup, that's what I thought too.
Does no one have a decent gas weedeater? Lol wtf
I used guitar wire one time and it snapped in seconds
i copied an idea to take two lengths of twine, tie in a knot around the spindle (leave spool out) feed two thru each hole & put the cap back on. works better than having to take off cap to restring on my b&d grasshog.
Nice honest review. Thank you.
"The mint wins!" Classic
Not sure where you went wrong. I just harvested 1 bucket with 17 potatoes. Add fish bone meal and fish blood meal it certainly helps.
Banana and Jalapeño sounds familiar
Metal Zip Tie??
You can buy stainless steel zip ties
Now we talking 🤠
And get serious injuries; especially when hey get work==hardened and bits snap of at speed
I would try thicker ties, after all they have different sizes string, right!!! Saw a second vid where the line feed was taped down (duck taped) so as not to feed and using regular string.
Thank you for sharing thank you for all what you do for us
Hi.... What happened? Did it grow!!?
All you need to do is use 4 zip ties, two on each side. That reduces the stress on each zip tie by 50%. I only use zip ties now.
With the DR Trimmer, that's basically what's used with them....you have to soak the zip ties in water overnite so they soften up and are more flexible.
What are your thoughts on metal zip ties?
I tried 4 ..doesn't work
@@melaniebostwick9478 I use zip ties. There are various types. The plastic ties are no good.
@@frank1847 I used zip ties from a local hardware store that has since closed. Unfortunately, I cannot find anymore ties that last. So it was good while it lasted.
In order for these zipties to work, they have to be of higher quality. If lower quality is used, they will break almost immediately. After all, your cutting grass and weeds, not wire nor bricks.
cool grate video
I like your idea to use paper cups on top. 👍
i use thicker zip ties and run regular trimmer line side by side with them from both holes..and it works great...usually one set will do two yards with plenty of material left.2 zip ties and two lengths of string give me 4 cutting pieces .the trimmer string companies want you to use a ton of the stuff obviously..this way a spool should last me at least 3 summers of mowing.
Will this method work with dried caps?
Exactly what happened to me.
Damn to hell the trimmer sting industrial complex, and its monopoly!
Maybe it’s the quality of the ties ? I bought some cheap ties at harbor freight and they disappeared immediately
Try Kennebecs. They grow well in pots.
anyone else watching for magic mushroms lol
Mc Banter crazy part is a day after I took shrooms I had a lucid dream about being inside a mincraft game. Had a lot of fun as well as amazing graphics and a lot to explore before I woke up😂 but you're not alone
@@sumper_man Damn, that's crazy. And ye i am here for the shrooms...
LCQO AT tbh you need of the spores though. So you might be able to just scrape some off the shrooms. Not sure if it'll work though.
here's several tips worth trying select the top variety - there are lots available. grow them in the right conditions - some such as oyster muchrooms like cool humid conditions and may be placed outside (I read these and the reasons they work from Gregs Mushroom Grower site )
Lovely. Thumbs up from Jamestown NY
Annnnnnnnd yet another mushroom growing video that said they would follow up, but lied.
Waiting 9 min just to watch you chop the mushroom, i thought you will show the spores looks like.
Nice
I can do the same with pleurotus?
Shit, you got more than me. I have yet to get potatoes. But I am learning from my mistakes. At least my corn, okra, mint, and beans took off.
It's not very often i am impressed but this video really made me say wow ahahaha But have you looked at the resource called 'gregs mushroom grower' ? look for it on google
Did they grow
NOT A FAIL ! Last year I planted 2 containers with 1 potato each. At the end of the season, I got 1 moderately small potato and a very tiny potato. The larger of the two has sprouted chits. I'll replant it to see what I get. Never -A - Fail !!!!!!!!!!!1
I want give up cause my indoor plants died on me I guess I water them to much but I'm learning
I put some wood shavings, flour and a mushroom water in a blender and blend it. Next I pour it into 5 gallons of water aerated with an air stone and add 2 tablespoons of unsulfered molasses and a tablespoon of salt. 48 hours it is ready to use. Then I dilute 1 quart with five gallons of water and pour it on the lawn, in the garden and under trees and bushes. The only thing left is to do is pick the mushrooms. I also poured it on straw bales and wood chips and got excellent results.
blend it ..in juicer ..... works 100 percent of the time ..then pour it onto substrate
What's with all the spam on this video?
This is by far a better method for growing spuds. Lots of fun...
