Hudson float valve VS. Jobe float valve

In no way do I claim this to be a scientific test. This was just a quick video I tried to make and show the Hudson float valve and jobe valve. I could have done a better job if I had assistance. I had to hold the phone with one hand and the bucket in another hand while recording. One thing to point out is that the reliability of the jobe valve is definitely more reliable. Ive used Hudson valves...

Driveway cleaning 10gpm and mini mondo
Hi there. are you still using this mondo 49"? What have been your thoughts with it? How many GPM you running with it? I have the mini mondo (31") and it's good, but looking to see if the big daddy would be even better.
@@blacklabpowerwashllc I’m no longer using the mondo 49”. I sold it the middle of last year and now run a lil hippo 62”. In this video I was only running 8gpm. If you went to run it more efficiently, you definitely need higher gpm to do so but I ran it with 8gpm & 10gpm for over 3yrs.
@@readykleenpowerwashing sounds good. Were you using cold or hot water when using it?
@@blacklabpowerwashllc both. I have videos of it in action if you look at my other videos you’ll find it.
@@readykleenpowerwashing I currently have the mini mondo. I see you’ve used that too. Do you feel the big mondo is better / more efficient for driveway cleanings?
@@blacklabpowerwashllc no it’s not more efficient for driveway cleanings. The mini mondo is as long as you have the proper gpm to run it. The mondo 49” is for big Commerical flatwork.
Fresh
Can you reuse that connector if it burst again? Thanks!
If the hose burst again…..yep. That’s why it’s called a reusable fitting.
@@readykleenpowerwashing 😆 guess I didn’t read the title well…thanks!
How do the gas lines run from the motor to the fuel pump?
There are three different lines that go on the fuel pump. One line is a (pulse) or vacuum source to operate the pump. In turn the vacuum pulls fuel from the fuel tank as the motor creates vacuum to operate. The last line is the pump output line that takes the fuel and sends it to the carburetor.
I don’t get this flow , why is that ??
I don’t know how I could answer that question and not see your setup.
What size hose is coming off of the suction side of your pump ?
In this video it was 1” suction hose.
Thanks for the response! (= do you use 1" ID hose for all your 5.5 gpm pumps? I use 1/2 " ID suction hose with 5/8 flexilla. Just trying to maximize output and figure out what the best combination is.
@@mikluvin4633 no. My current 12v system uses 1/2” suction, 1/2” discharge with 350ft of 1/2” flexzilla hose. I get 38ft horizontal distance. If you want better performance from a 5.5gpm 12v system, you’ll need to go 3/4” everything with 5/8” hose for the reel.
Have you done a distance test on that set up?
No I haven’t. This is for me surface cleaning and that’s it.
does sharp shooter works both with water and soap?
Yes. I was just using mine today doing a house wash.
what PSI?
2500
Thank you for breaking down each part of the plumbing. That's what every single person that searches for these videos is trying to see and almost no one does it so bravo my brotha!
For these types of jobs, are you charging by the SqFt or are you at a 'day-rate'?
No. because I had 22 of these locations, we agreed in a flat set rate price. Some locations were bigger and some were smaller so it made up for the difference.
@@readykleenpowerwashing Awesome, great info!
Just curious, are you running through the reel? And all that hose that's on it?
Yes I run my 3/8 hose through my reel.
@@readykleenpowerwashing Thanks for reply.
Way to get after it
Great transformation..wish you included the rinse though. It’s the best part!
Sorry I figured after 6 min people’s attention span was maxed out. Next time I’ll do that. The main thing I was trying to show was the capabilities of the groundforce with good gpm how quctyiu can get a driveway done.
so you pre treat down stream, than clean with the WW ground force on 10gpm, and you do the entire driveway in under 10 minutes?
This driveway was pretty dirty. I pretreated with P40 for a hotter mix. Downstreaming doesn’t get hot enough mix.
@@readykleenpowerwashing why do you pre treat? I see a lot of people wash first than post treat hot mix
@@dylanthornsberry8778 because that’s my preference. Pretreating kills organic growth and loosens everything up to make it quicker to clean. Post treating can be too strong for some customers leaving behind a stronger SH smell. Worst case I may have to spot treat and I’ll do that with a pump sprayer.
Nice! You’re moving at a decent speed. What size tips for your 10gpm?
2503 x 4
Man I been struggling with my metering valve to work. I have a 1" metering and check valve bit it won't work unless I pinch off the water supply at my tote. I'm thinking my bleach line and water supply line have to be the same lenght.??
No. If you cut off your water supply and the bleach works then that must mean you have an air leak somewhere. The water line must be sucking air somewhere. If you’re using non collapsible hose like tiger flex hose, make sure to heat the hose before clamping it down. The coils in the hose may prevent a good seal.
Is that flexilla air hose?
Yes
Thanks brother for the help diagnosing my set-up earlier. It was in fact an air leak!! Working like a pro now!
Very happy to hear this great news
Hello, Learning, thanks for the video! It's like Softwash University, Plumbing 101, lol.. But seriously, I've got a single 100-gallon tank in this small trailer where my pressure washer is installed. I'm thinking of repurposing it for a Softwash system until my business picks up. Right now, I've got a big job that I can't turn down. Back to the lesson, can I hook up a pump direct like that to the tank, mixing the SH around 20% with 80% water with surfactant, and use it for roof and building wash?
Yes you can use the 100 gallon tank and batch mix whatever you want to clean. Since your batch mixing, you’d run the bypass hose back to the tank and you’ll be able to stay off the trigger for a long time without having to worry about overheating the pump.
Thank you for replying, sir. It makes me feel more confident about this matter. By doing so, the bypass will keep the engine running and put the chemicals back into the tank. After every job, do you run clean water through the pump?
@@HandyHoneyBunnyLLC I usually do run water after the job to clear out my hose but in your case you’d have to come up with a dual valve to switch between pulling your batch mix and pulling clean water. Because you’re batch mixing, there is no clean water per se. you only have your batch mix tank to spray from.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
Could you have put the bypass line into the water tank ?
No because then you’ll fill your water tank with chemical mix.
@@readykleenpowerwashing aah , i see. Thanks
Привет, что за аппарат? Модель? И сколько стоит он?
это маленький бегемотик шепчущий мыть. номер модели h500. стоимость зависит от того, где вы его покупаете. он может варьироваться от 3500 до 5000 долларов.
Looks like a lot of bleach there.
Where did you buy the pump?
I got it from Amazon. I stated this in the description.
That’s my bro !
What a rig. Out of curiosity, why 12v and P40? Just in case?
They both have their purpose. 12v is good for pretreating and post treating. It’s also my go to for roofs because you can apply a light coat without runoff. Very controllable. The P40 is good for bigger jobs such as house washing and Commerical applications where volume is necessary as well as reach.
Do you by chance document the flow through each valve. Just curious if it was different?
Unfortunately I don’t. The give valve is my main valve all the time. The only time I use the Hudson valve is when I need to double fill my tank. This is why I don’t even have a hose reel going to it.
@@readykleenpowerwashing so the Jobe is your main valve? My Hudson valve busted and not sure what is should use next
@@seattleprowash5464 yes the jobe valve is my main valve. It has done very well.
That's one of the coolest thing I've ever seen. I love it! Hopefully we can get something like that ourselves. Awesome!
not a bad rig
How big is big enough buffer tank for a 8gpm washer
The most simple answer to that is as big as you can fit or haul. Everything depends on location and water flow around your area. Also Commerical work if there’s no water access, having a big tank will slow you to do work.
Great video
Thank you
Yes Sir thats a Money Maker right there much success for the 2024 Washing Season!!!!!!
Thank you very much 🙏🏼
I have a 48” running on 8gpm. It does fine, but a lot of the stuff we do is pretty dirty, so I’m looking into at least a 10 gpm with heat. 12 gpm would fit the rule of 4” per gpm, but I haven’t seen a 12 gpm unit with heat yet.
Running a hotbox with Wayne burner or SDC burner can run 12gpm.
How does the 48 do with 8gpm? Are you using cold or hot?
Are you downstreaming with this for pretreat or using a dedicated pump?
I use a dedicated pump when I pretreat. Downstreaming isn’t strong enough. I have a 12v system and P40 gas softwash system.
@@readykleenpowerwashing have you tested different injectors? Is it strong enough for regular house washing?
@@batteryboy4529 regardless of what chemical injector someone suggest, they’re still going to perform basically the same based on GPM. Downstreaming does work and effective for house washing of vinyl and hardy plank siding. Brick, stucco or flagstone would require a hotter mix to clean.
@@readykleenpowerwashing understood. I have two 8gpm right now. I just ordered a 10gpm 15 minutes ago. Was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to downstream at all with it. I have an air diaphragm pump so if I need a stronger mix I will just use that. We normally use that already to pretreat really dirt areas, stucco, brick, roofs, etc.
Awesome trailer. First time seeing ALL remote start equipment.
Thank you

Looks so good. But I never understand why have so many reels? We have one water supply reel to our pump and one high pressure reel. We’ll get a softwash reel soon but that’s still only half the number you have!
One reel is a water reel to fill my tank. I don’t have a water reel that goes to the pump because my machine consumes more water than a regular outlet can put out. The tank feeds the machine instead of a water hose going directly to the pump. I have multiple systems on my trailer and that’s the reason why I have multiple reels. - Water fill ( 1 reel for fill hose) - 2 pressure washers - (2 hose reels) - 12v softwashing system (1 hose reel) - Comet P40 gas softwashing system ( 1 hose reel) - 300ft of 1/2” hose (1 hose reel)
makes sense@@readykleenpowerwashing

Next time bro
This trailer is a transformer. Niice, I'm ready for a trailer and reels so bad, my hands are tore up. The biggest help you've given was the damn check valve, man it's a lot better. Getting rid of the ball and spring.
In due time things will happen.
Some of these large SC's got me worried but yours doesn't look like it's lacking any power. I know they sell single 20 gpm+ pumps but I don't know if you can run that much through a single burner, which would explain why everyone goes with dual pump setups.
You would have to get a custom hotbox made to handle 20gpm with one single burner. It’s not practical and would be very large. It would have to be in the neighborhood of heating 1.5 million BTUs. Easier to simease and use a separate hotbox for each unit.
If I gave you sqaure footage of concrete would you tell me if Im in the ballpark as far as price?
The ball park is what you’re comfortable cleaning at. There is no specific number to charge in this industry. One may be able to charge more than another due to experience and equipment.
@@readykleenpowerwashing very true. The owner/operator of a recently opened Chick-fil-A wants me to bid a job for him. Some he wants weekly and some is bi-weekly. I'm trying to make it affordable for him BUT I want to make a good profit as well. I'm sure you understand.
@@shaferspressurewashing8911 completely understand but the only person that’s going to know what you need to make for a profit margin is you based on what expenses you have.

Theirs gotta be a line on every pass no ?
What do you mean by a line ?
Yeah plus work at night... But its commercial work so some lines doesn't matter as long as it's clean
@@thepolacoxxl if you’re talking about leaving strips … No. not all concrete can be done with just one pass. Sometimes it’s required to go over it a second time due to the amount of dirtiness.
