The Fairey Swordfish was a torpedo bomber built by the Fairey Aviation Company and used by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy during the Second World War. Affectionately known as the ‘Stringbag’ by its crews, it was outdated by 1939, but achieved some spectacular successes during the war, notably the sinking of one and damaging two battleships of the Regia Marina (the Italian Navy) in the Batt...

Recorded by me at Blenheim High School around 1980. Originally recorded on Reel to Reel. Then transferred to 8track :( you can hear the track change Then to cassette Then to my computer Its surprising it is still listenable. I used a program called Audiograbber and earphone jacks from an old ghetto blaster to my sound card. Unfortunately this tape player was the only one left working around here.

In Ireland we had the 50 series. 22, 24, 26 and 2850 being the most popular. The larger 6 cylinder 30, 33 and turbo charged 3650 were their bigger brothers.
Muy buenas series💯
Muy buena serie 💯
Just shut-up and give me my free padlock Thankyou
We had an 8530 and an 8630 , 8630 was power shift and we had a lot of problems with it , it would downshift on its own and about throw you through the windshield . It was new technology at the time and 3 different dealers tried to fix it but it was never right from new . The 8530 was a really nice reliable tractor , it was always my pick of the 2 .
you obviously weren't operating it correctly, its supposed to downshift and upshift itself
The US Company, Funk, made the transmissions fitted to that tractor range. Funk were eventually bought out by John Deere (Deere & Co.).

Foot throttle is like the best thing ever
It ant worth a dam if yoü are running a tractor like its super to be.how you use the brakes uf your doing something like plowing an you have to hit one or other brakes to turn or keep tractor in straight line.if your using that stupid Brake then you have to come off foot thrüotle an then your stallles it worse thing I ever saw on a tractor .I took mine off.wouldnt have one
Loved my 2355!!!
I think Ford makes one of best tractor 🚜 in the world real talk. Okay 👌
Sucks they don't make tractors anymore
I followed this band, seemingly every weekend of my misspent youth in bars across the Southeast Michigan region, from the time I was 18 through my late 20's. I have never heard this song before. The picture on the video shows Chris (drummer) with the band. So it's not a reach to conclude this was in the beginning of the band? What a rocker. The fact that they were playing this as a High School leads me to assume this was before the A to Z lp release. This is very cool. Got more? :0)
Me too friend…313 baby!
Man 0:54 gives me a huge bit of nostalgia as a 90s kid miss seeing so many neighbors chopping away at it in the fall. Now we all just use 1 or two guys who can usually do it in a day. Good and bad with all change but I do miss the pull type chopping.
Did he say sleeveless? Like throw it away when it’s worn out?
Yes sleeveless, but very rebuildable. We just sent one in for machining with 11,000hrs. Sleeved it and now we will complete the overhaul.
We have a 8630 and 8730, good tractors, easy on fuel, but they don't lug worth a crap.
That's the problem with the short stroke engine design - low torque and hence no lugging ability, despite what the guy in the video says. Long stroke engines produce much better torque values.
I love my 8630
We never saw the 55 series in ireland was there much difference to the 50 series
They had a different numbering system in the US,these tractors would be the same as European 50 series
@@Realcarl92 rite i was always woundering why i love the 50 series deeres
How do I get my free $15 padlock
The 55 series is a reliable fast starting tractor
Yip love my 8730 powershift. I'm in the middle of gearbox clutch packs at the moment but we'll worth it.
how did you make out with the trans work ? we need some trans work on our 8730.......
My papa has a johndeere 2955 or 2755 edit: I found out it was a jd 2355
My grandpa has the 4455 and the 4555
Cool

$5 padlock free when you buy $25000-90000 tractor. Thanks Deere.
Do you still have the CH-300?
Yes
@@tx68 Do you fly it much? Any new videos? Are you on the new io group for CH-200/300?
Great tractors Ford really had it going on in the 90s
Awesome tractors
Allis Chalmers did a great job, seeing as how Agco has done next to nothing to change a combine designed in the 1970's
Allis had a good design, they just came out with their rotory 5 years too soon which just destroyed their reputation. As for Agco, they have made leaps a bounds improvements to make the Gleaner a very reliable, big productivity combine that it is today. We ran the N series from 1980-1988, what a nightmare. We got back into Gleaners in 2010 and it just amazes me how far they have come, wish my dad was still alive to see what our S97's can do, he would not believe it.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Phillip Jaxson instablaster =)
@Christian Luka Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Christian Luka HOLY **** IT ACTUALLY WORKED :O Literally hacked my ig account within about 45 minutes by using the site. Just had to pay 15$ but for sure worth it :) Thanks so much, you really help me out!
I own 2 they have been on the farm for 30 years. They still go to work every day
That is amazing! From Reel to Reel then to 8-Track then to Cassette. The tape players must have all been working as good as they could to have it come through as well as it did.
thanks
Still big in Mexico
Has it been 60 days since 1991
Ok, this film is full of shit. 1. A 401 is not a big engine 2. I’ve owned several and they don’t lug for crap 3. It’s a Ford. What else do I have to say
Nah our 8030 series tractors run great and pull like no other
Good. At least somebody likes them. Poor Ford
Definitely an 80s theme 😎
That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure I thought maybe 90s if not 80s
The last of the Iron Horses
Actually, these were advertised as the “Task Masters.” The 40 series were generally regarded as the Iron Horses.

Fords tractor division went to italy with the intention of takjng over fiat havaing already aquired ih .After 2 days of protracted negociations some kind if a deal was agreed .but the fiat logo is now on the front of new holland tractors .Is there a fist engine in new holland .who knows with all these mergers and takeovers anymore .Husquvarna did it with chainsaws . Buying out .johnsered .partner .poulon .Its shareholders who close these once great makes of engines .In the case of ford .surely they were big enough to plow their own furrow.but they didnt do enough research and development .which with the top manufacturers is an ongoing quest ..The old major was a great tractor in its day but put it beside a david brown 996 with sinchro gears x 500 to 1000 in a lever without clutching .The game changes all the time .mergers killed the brown tractors .international harvester cannabalised them .Ford cannabalised .internationl harvester .and still got cannabilised themselves.THROUGH looking for a quick fix RATHER than research and development .AMERICA claims john deere .but Germany was the beginning of the new john deeres.in mannerheim .Now Farmers say there diesel hungry against .other makes .and are switching away gradually to other makes Im afraid ford got left behind through lack of foresight .but ford were better off alone .and all manufacturers are better off alone ...ISNT that what gives us the white heat .of independent .competition .just like ford were back in the day .
If fords were so good .why arent they around now .perosity around the piston sleeves was always a problem .
Ford tractors are not made any more because New Holland bought them. Yes they had a problem with porous blocks. One of the six we have had that problem.
what do u mean porosity around the piston sleeves? ford motors don't have sleeves it even says in the vid
Maybe they were made in england with pistons bores made of stainless steel or some other alloy .That was then encased in the cast iron block .At the back of that in some ford tractors not all corrosion appeared .or was the alloy that was put into the cast iron itself porus .Anyway water gatherd at the back of the piston shell and caused problems .Ford should have stayed on their own and ramped up the research and development .Those that did survived .Mergers are caused by greedy shareholders baying for money on their investments .Power shift wasnt to different to multi power the old ferguson tractors had .Ford are gone . David brown .gone .but ferguson are still going .mergers were never about the tractor s being made better .but in many cases to shut down the tractor manufacturer taken over and cannbalise bits to add on .grab and run with the research that the other manufacturer had done .Case did it with david browns and its hard to understand now .Tractors with engines made by different manufacturers .than the name on the tractor or car .Effin crazy
no ford didnot have problem with piston sleeve ect i was a tech for ford so i know frist hand s carney
@@williebourke9962argueably, Massey Ferguson no longer exist really. Taking the newest MF 9S series as an example, apart from the cab and bonnet, underneath is an engine and transaxle by Valtra - their new large tractor range are mechanically identical, apart from the fact that Valtra are made in Finland and MF in Beauvais, France. Case IH have just released a new high capacity combine, the AF 11. Apart from its external dress panels, it is mechanically identical to the New Holland CR 11 combine previewed at Agritechnica, in Germany, late last year.

that was my time and tractors ;-) the swap from analog to digital instrument clusters was not a good thing imho and many owners complained about absolutely NO chance to read anything when sunshine is around and some dirt most times ruins all. The old big needles dial around were much better to read ! The throttle pedal was much to close to the brake pedal ! Tranny was new, nice but new.....some had problems with clutches inside. Engines , rear axles with wet inner brakes and hydraulic were always the best part of Ford ;-) cabin was also good at those. My favourite was and is still the 7810
I wonder how many people still have their original free padlock?
