This didn't work for me. I accidentally agro'd Bo's faction, and tried this when she got downed. When I bought her back all she did was go hostile and said I did this too her and then she fled into the desert in the slave digs :( Alternatively, when I played he unconscious body down, but didn't sell her in the shop, the owner snatched her up and THEN when I purchased her she thanked me for saving here. I didn't check if that repaired faction status, tho.

Time to go get the bugman on a new save.

I ended up using this method for crossbows and precision shooting. I setup a flat shelter. Put 2 sleeping bags under it. I had 2 of my crew sleeping in them. I had the other 2 standing up so the sleeping ones are in the line of fire between the 2 shooters and the 2 spider drones. They just continued to hit the 2 in the sleeping bags over and over. I used the worst crossbows I could find. And when I downed all the robots I just ran over and healed them. I didn’t realize they’re pathing would get messed up and they wouldn’t care about the invisible wall if you have one person next to them. So I just make sure everyone went to heal together and then ran back to the tent together. Leveled them all up very quickly like this.

You don't need to keep a continuous move order to have your character let attacks through. Pressing r will reset your character's animation, so mashing r means he stands there and takes it like a giga chad.

Perhaps this game should start with invincible animals, just to save our time of cheating. LOL

hi there . i had a question for you that i was unable to find any answer to . in my first playthrough of almost vanilla kenshi (( i only had the mod that let's you pass the Recruitment count )) i was able to recruit berserkers by saving them from cannibal cages (( i did this for a long time and was only able to recruit two of them , most of them just ran away )) . i did it again in my next playthrough and managed to recruit one berserker . now my question is that i have never seen people talk about this being possible in vanilla kenshi , is it possible to do the same thing with other hostile factions such as fogmen / fishmen / thralls / southern hivers / second empire robots ?

great video , but for some reason my character isnt really keen on self preservation and gets up like usual . he must know what i wanna do with him or its a bug. maybe i am doing something wrong ?

In my game R and F are for moving up and down floors. In case R doesn't work for you go into options -> controls -> look for "Stop selected character actions"

Was this updated? My characters refuse to knock out themselves like they have 0 self preservation and always get up fully. It still works but dust bandits knocking you out takes 100-200 seconds to recover from so it takes longer

This isnt cheese tutorial, the real cheese is removing your prosthetic leg in front of a hostile group and put it back on again. This method gives you massive toughness EXP, and its easially repeatable becauae when you remove your equipped leg they loose agro, and you gain exp becauae you fainted momenterally during combat. The bigger the group the more exp you get. You can easially gain 90 tougness in half hour, assuming youhave a robotic leg and foumd a large enough group. Just dont do this trickmin front of cannibals and slavers for obvious reasons.

Well, you can always make a ninja easy your work.

how about purchase a pup animal, go to hive wait untill gorillo beating down by hiver. pick up the gorillo to hub, there is a shack with bed that can be use. Put the gorillo down heal him up, pick your animal and left there with the gorillo. Set all crewa as passive so your animal can fight the gorillo alone. By this way, your animal would improve so many stats, attack, defence, toughness maybe strengh if you put heavy items inside the animal backpack.

Man, I love your Kenshi playthrough. Really relaxing narration, no loud sounds and some nice little mechanics tidbits. Do you think you'll ever have the time/inclination to make another?

Foglands is great for creating a cyborg division. I have a 10 man main combat squad that I leveled traditionally. Then I picked 10 guys to create uber soldiers. I put them on the poles of the fogmen and let their limbs get eaten. Toughness skyrocketed and was easier to level up to 90 because of xp multiplier cause of missing limbs. Then I attached robotic arms and legs to the cyborgs and they have like stupidly great stats: over 90 dex, 90 toughness, over 90 heavy weapons and melee attack. Working on training STR now. That I cannot train by cheesing the game unfortunately.

Interesting, i was sort of aware of R, but i mostly just used to it to cancel staggers and getting up animations.

I kill Skeletons on sight - OKRAN wills it. Heretical Hellspawns. Fun fact Okran is actually a Skeleton / Strobe !? Kenshi is rly fked up - I always end up killing all Leaders for the sake of it, let's be real.

I noticed that, when doing this with 1 person, after some time they become part of your faction and if you dismiss them, they become part of the tech hunters. Not sure how to avoid this

Can you do this with only 1 character without assistance? Like, can you heal yourself mid combat, and continue healing while uncoscious?

My skeleton had really low athletics so I decided to send him for a jog. Turned out it was a Holy Nation area. This trick would have came in handy when I was running from 10 hacker wielding zealots 💀
