00001 Rottweiler and Golden Retriever playing, 8/1/2020
Lea, the Rottweiler, is now 11 years old. Finnegan (Finn) is three. I own Lea and Judy, a neighbor, owns Finn. We walk together several mornings a week and then come to my back yard afterward. Finn has learned how to get Lea playing, as you will see. They have been entertaining us for several months, and I finally got the show on camera.

This is my nephew's Rottweiler (Rufus, the large one) and mine (Lea), both 4 years old, playing. They play every day they are together. It's tug of war in the first part and wrestling in the second.

Miss my rott.. when I watch these older videos I wonder at times if these dogs are still alive , my little terrier beagle mix is almost 17 years old now .
They are both gone now, the smaller one just in late December.

Man, the big one is exemplary how a big male Rottweiler should behave. I sure would like to know how you teach your dog.. Really impressive, hats off.
My nephew trained Rufus. He wanted a large, scary-looking dog who would be completely gentle. I couldn't tell you how he did it, but I think he succeeded.

What great looking Rotti's, they are without a doubt the best breed EVER!!... once you have had a Rotti you cannot gave any other breed, they own US!

Nice dogs
This reminds me of my wrestling matches with our Rottweiler. Sometimes I won and sometimes he won. It is unbelievable how precisely they control their bite force. I didn't even feel the teeth. And it always ended with a round of cuddling. The best buddy I ever had.

The pretty boy on the right is the older Alpha right? Gentle play. My 2 look like King Kong & T-Rex. It alarms others but it’s their pre-dinner Play Time. The Guttural Rottie Rumble.. This is cute. 👍🏼

How are they now
Rufus, the big one, died of lung cancer three years ago. Lea is 12 and still doing well.
@@diannet7187 It is very hard to digest it and when they die we feel that they are around.

That was hella cute.
I miss my first 2 Rotts. My favourite trait is the "Rotti purr." My girls were always happy and always purring. Scared alot of people who never had Rottis, until I explained the trait. Then their hesitation turned to laughing. Rottis are the best.

Rufus is full blooded, with papers. I had Lea tested because I wasn't sure. She is 7/8ths Rottie, with one great-grandparent who was an Australian Shepherd.

I tried to take a few more videos, but they were all pretty much the same. The large one, Rufus, died last year. Very sad. Lung cancer.
This is great! What 2 beautiful Rottie pups! I actually pulled this up so my big ole 160 pound ( the most gentle, sweet, giant rottie pup} baby could watch it. Its hilarious watching his oh so familiar rottweiler expressions of confusion unfold lol! He (Enzo Pacino) loved this video as well! Thank you for sharing! I also agree 100% with Kitty! Enzo is the most loving, respectful, goofy, and obedient little baby ever! However he also does a great job of his of being a guard dog as well, but only to sketchy unfamiliar people that pose a threat to our property or his personal bubble. Rottweilers are the greatest!

I have had 2 Rotties and they both had tails.
