That can be painful. Usually you can use from dental floss and a toothpick to get it out.

How do I know if I put it in right
I feel a lil pressure between like the tooth next to the Center teeth
You should feel some pressure. 1/2 the space should go under the tooth and 1/2 should go over the tooth.

I’m so regret right now. I noticed my spacer almost falling out so I tried to take it out by myself. It’s been 3 days now and the space that the spacer create is closed now and it hurts so bad. My next appointment is next week. What I suppose to do now? Thank

@@lychingngov2493 just let your orthodontist know that the space came out before your appointment so they can plan a accordingly.
My spacers popped idk how but 2 popped the same day I got them and I haven’t even eaten anything I went back to my appointment with none 😭

Hey👋 can you plz help me ..i am.very confused ,I got my spacers today itself and after 9 hrs my 4 spacers are in but two are broken, they are still in between my teeth though.is this fine to keep or do i need to go get it replaced?
If they are broken they aren’t working well anymore and need to be replaced.
I got my spacer back in but it is to far up my gum and now it is really pain full
You probably flossed it too deep and pushed the entire spacer down. You need to pull up 1/2 of the spacer so part of it is about and part is below the gums.

Some places are hard to get back in and naught require your orthodontist help. Give them a call and I’m sure they’ll help you out.

bro, i don’t want another spacer. I just got them yesterday and 2 already came out. I threw them away….I DONT WANT MORE SPACERS GOD PLEASE NO 😭
i had spacers in and the didn’t work which is apparently rare, so my ortho has to do something else to make the space although i’m not sure what yet so yeah that was fun having the pain without it actually doing anything
Bummer. Not sure why they didn’t work. They may need to use metal spacers.
well this would be helpful if mine had come out, but mine split in half while chewing gum. i didnt realize i couldnt chew it with the spacers and now i have a split spacer still in between my teeth and idk what to do because i dont think its doing anything anymore! ahhh!
Yes, you’ll need to have it replaced. They don’t work we’ll split and usually fall out.
My spacers went deep into my gums from eating, it’s currently Saturday, should I have someone at the dentist take an immediate look?
Ouch. They can cause an infection if they stay down there but it usually takes a few days. You may be able to get them out with some floss or a toothpick. I’m sure your dentist can help on Monday if you can’t get them out.
I'm sure it will help if you can remove your teeth so you can get better access to those way in the back.

Just contact your orthodontist and they can replace it for you.

I was watching this trying to put my spacer back in and it just popped back in place. I just put it back in with my finger and it seems to be in place like before.
Good job. Sometimes you can just pop them back in like that too.

I got my spacers 6 days ago and 2 of them fell on day 4 and 1 fell out on day 5. I went to the orthodontist and they replaced them, but 1 spacer fell out and there is a gap in between my teeth so it’s not going back in. My dentist told me not to eat anything hard or sticky but I only had soup with soggy bread. I have another appointment today to get my expander’s, however I think that they might have to replace them. :,(
Hopefully you were able to get you expander and it is going well!

I swallowed a spacer and replaced it with a rubber band 😭
Hope it was about the same size.

what if you accidently eat it
Then you’ll need to visit your orthodontist and have another one replaced if the space between the teeth where it was placed is tight.

Yes. It keeps space open for the braces. It most likely needs to be put back in.
this video saved me. my spacer was misplaced and was more in between my gums rather than in between my molar. it was causing bleeding and irritation and i figured it wasn’t doing it’s job so i took and out and put it back in the right spot and i don’t feel the excruciating pain anymore

I put on my spacer wrong and I took out the toothflosse and now I think my spacer is stuck inside my gums
You can try and get it out with floss, but if it stays in the gums it can become painful. If you can’t get it out, let your orthodontist know what happened and they can get it out for you.
Thanks doc. Li came up with this amazing idea and used two cut rubber bands to stretch it and pop it back in bc I ran out of floss thank you so much I’m definitely going to like a subscribe

Hi! I just got my spacers in today, but somehow one came out- I haven’t been eating anything hard or chewy- like just eating soft foods and stuff- but like, it’s broken in half? What do you think I should do? I go back in on Tuesday to get the actual brackets on or something.. do you think it be fine?

@@naralireyes5114 yeah.. I did have to wait. Turns out that took was already spaced enough so it was fine. They just ended up putting the braces right in

@@_husband so we didn’t call in the office because it was fine, but I only waited for 2-4 days (k don’t exactly remember) and most kids had to wait two weeks due to there being an available appointment.
I got 8 spacers 2 days back and my one spacer fell out....is it okay? My next appointment is after 4-5 days

Can you use this for a hole in your mouth ?is it safe for a temp fix
This is not a good option for that. It doesn’t seal the hole well and tends to hold bacteria if not changed. Bacteria is the original cause of the hole. I’d recommend to go see a dentist to get the hole properly filled.
Mine just fell out. Got loose quick so now I need to fiddle around and figure it out

I accidentally swallowed my left spacer
It won’t hurt you but it’ll probably have to be replaced.

It will usually last a day or until you eat a big meal in your mouth. Just replace as you need to. In the pack it last forever unless it gets too hot and melts.

Two of my spacers fell out on the first day and then one of the replacement ones fell out a few hours after my appointment a few days later

Hi. I've got 4 spacers and 1 was lost (today) because it already made a gap between my teeth. My next appointment will be next week. Is it ok if I will just leave it as it is since it already has a gap? I don't have any spare.
If you already have a gap, that is the purpose of the spacer so you should be good to go for your appointment.
