this video was really great! I always had a hard time understanding the benefits of each oxygen delivery device and why you would use one over the other, but now I definitely understand the key take aways
Glad it was helpful!
I agree
It's the medication that I look for. I have two years with this problem. Around this two year, I've woken up to urinate 3-4 times during my sleeping hours, and recently I've woken up 4-5 times to go to the bathroom to urinate. I feel that it is arruining my life; that it is destroying me 😫
take or have taken antidepressants?
Are you saying this medicine is destroying your life?
Notes: FIO2 (fraction of inspired oxygen) Typically 20% Nasal Cannula 1-6 L/min Humidify >4 L/min 3 types of face masks: Simple (5-10 L/min), Ventury, Non-rebreather Ventury: 4-10 L /min w/ colorful attachments that deliver different levels of FIO2 Non-rebreather: 10-15L - The critical mask w/ a bag - ALWAYS ensure the bag is inflated before placing it on the patient - Valves should open during expiration and close during inhalation
Awesome notes!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I pee about 15-20 times a day on most days. Sufffering from polyuria , not nocturia. Would this benefit me ?

Well I've taken the exams for the second time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it
@Chae-won Bon-hwa She doesn't have a Facebook page, an Instagram page, or a CZcams channel, why?!!!..This is a back door we're talking about, not some kind of extra classes, you really won't expect her to have a Facebook page, it's not safe for her.
i was lucky to meet Mrs Maria only God knows I wouldn't have succeeded without her succeeded without her
Mrs Maria is obviously the best, i studied her questions and answers just in 5 days and I passed, the materials she provided was exactly the questions I saw on my test day

so i'm having trouble understanding how desmopressin causes hyponatremia. I understand it increases the reabsorbtion of water in kidneys thereby decreasing urine output, so how i'm interpreting it is, i have a lot of water in my body (water follows solute), so there will be excess solute (hypernatremia) and not low solute(hyponatremia)
This is an excellent question! Usually desmopressin is well tolerated, but sometimes hyponatremia can occur. One of the most common causes of hyponatremia occurs as a consequence of inappropriate prescription of DDAVP concurrent with hypotonic intravenous fluids. This combination is almost never appropriate, and under most circumstances the use of DDAVP and hypotonic fluids should be considered contra-indicated. Recall that water balance is achieved through regulation of ADH secretion from the hypothalamus through the action of osmoreceptors in the neurohypophysis (the posterior part of the pituitary) in which ADH secretion is suppressed during times of plasma hypotonicity and whose secretion is up-regulated as plasma tonicity increases. In the absence of ADH activity, water reabsorption from the urine across the medullary concentration gradient is not permitted and very dilute urine is excreted. When DDAVP is taken, urinary concentration is high and very little free water is excreted. Excessive water intake or administration of hypotonic fluids to a patient taking DDAVP can therefore lead to a reduction in the serum sodium, and ultimately if the situation is not corrected symptomatic hyponatremia may occur. Hyponatremic encephalopathy, the clinical manifestations of cerebral edema secondary to hyponatremia, can have a wide range of presentations. I hope this helps!
thanks alot
