I adopted the phrase from the early Jewish-Christian myth about the temptation of Jesus when Jesus says to Satan, “One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God”. “The Gospel of Satan” is one where the believer lives by the bread of the Eucharist instead of “every word that comes from the mouth of God”. “The Gospel of Satan” is one where the believer lives by grace apart from being judged for the application of their ability to make choices and by the outcomes of those choices. If your ideas about God or Jesus don’t come from the texts of the Bible, the Apocrypha, archeological discoveries of Jewish and Christian manuscripts, then you don’t know the God of the Bible or Jesus, you certainly can’t use your beliefs or experience as an example of what it measn to be “Christian”, and you are one of those false believers that the later, evolved, and interpolated Jewish-Christian teaching is addressing in Matthew when it has Jesus declare, “I never knew you you evildoers.” I see the difference now between what I see emerging for myself and in the part of the culture, Liberal Christianity is about changing to modernity while not knowing the texts, while the Scholarly Christianity that I’ve come to advocate for is based on knowing the texts and it uses modern innovations and discoveries to act in a spirit of restoration, unlike Liberal Christianity, a restoration back to a Hellenistic or Philosophical roots, which isn’t difficult because modern science and ancient philosophy are not antithetical, especially when it comes to psychology. Most “conservative” Christians don’t know the Bible any better than the Liberal Christian leaders, and I don’t think that should be something they should feel comfortable about just because they allegedly believe the right things about God, Jesus, the Bible, or the Church. If they don’t know what the Bible actually says, how do they know they believe the right things? How do they know the Bible’s worth believing in? How are they not practicing “the Gospel of Satan”?

I don’t understand why we Christian’s need to argue so vehemently about what we all agree upon. Protestants, Catholics, and Eastern Orthodox Christian’s all believe that Jesus Christ is lord and savior. He is God and man and he bore the punishment we were meant to bear. Through his sacrifice we are saved and we can accept that sacrifice through faith. None of us can disagree with this and call ourselves Christian’s! We all agree on this point. I understand I sound ignorant but I mean isn’t this what really matters? We are saved by grace and we do works because of our faith and in turn those works keep our faith alive and make it stronger.

The Gospels leave zero room for the Christian Atheist interpretation of Jesus.
