Dr. AI: I Have an Aortic Aneurysm, Can I Go to the Gym?
Another episode of “Dr. AI!” Let's see how well the AI chatbot ChatGPT answers today's medical question. This week, heart surgeon and Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery Hiroo Takayama, MD, PhD, asks one of the most frequent questions he hears from patients with an aneurysm: Can I go to the gym?
An aortic aneurysm is a dilation, bulging, or ballooning of a weakened part of the aortic artery wall. The normal pressure of blood from the pumping of the heart causes the weakened portion of the aorta to slowly stretch and bulge, leading to the formation of an aneurysm.
Let’s see how well ChatGPT does with this one on a scale of one to ten.

zhlédnutí 43Před dnem
Human expert, heart surgeon Dr. Arnar Geirsson, asks: What is the best way to treat severe mitral regurgitation due to mitral valve prolapse? Mitral regurgitation is the backward flow of blood through the heart. With mitral valve prolapse, the leaflets and tendon-like cords supporting the valve weaken, causing bulge (or prolapse) with every contraction of the left ventricle, which in turn can c...

    i feel for this guy. i've been dealing with a similiar issue for almost a year and i sure i been misdiagnosed with GERD. somedays it is very hard to swallow anything with it getting stuck or acid coming back up. i'm only 25 and it is hard to deal with some days. seeing others eat all they want or eat anything they can while i can barely have a meal or not be able to eat what i want in fear of it getting stuck or scared to eat in general. i been losing weight and it is very hard to live with this condition, and others not knowing the pain i go through in everyday life. who knew taking swallowing food is taken for granted and how others are so lucky to not have to deal with this condition. some days i just wish i can go back to normal and have a meal i been wanting for so long and not have to deal with the repercussions.

    A more accurate description is both donors are alive. One can consent and can have painless organ removal surgery with anesthesia. The "brain-dead" person cannot consent and suffers during organ removal surgery without anesthesia until their true death. Why do you think a paralizing agent is given to the later?... in case they become conscious during their murder.

    I just found out a mth ago I have hyperthyroidism... they put me on methamozole for it. But I ended up having a allergic reaction to it. The docters are wanting to remove my thyroid but I'm freaking out bc I've already been through a handful of surgeries over other things. I've also lost 20 pounds and I'm already skinny. Eating high calorie foods just so I can gain some weight back I'm also eating like a pig which I've never in my life eaten this way but I'm so energetic I'm losing whatever I gain. So I'm wonder if people have had lost weight and had the surgery have yall gained weight from it? Please let me know bc I'm deciding on doing that instead of taken this other medication

    But this video gives people false hope and makes them think that they can have a normal life only a few people can actually live normal lives of these and you actually have to watch what you eat and everything so no living with an awesome bag is very difficult and very dictating you have to constantly worry about it I mean constantly

    @kennethhoward7823 Před měsícem

    I have a colostomy bag and I've had it for about 7 months now and I am unable to have a normal life like you're saying because actually it dictates my life I always have to worry about the ostomy bag coming off the location of the stoma depends on a lot but from what I've noticed the bag will actually get full during while I'm sleeping and it has no way of releasing the gas out of it and the bag will actually bust and leak and I will wake up with feces on me and I have found that I cannot live a normal life with this bag it's constantly giving me issues so the information you're putting across is false it depends on the individual but all I know is that in my situation and others it dictates their life it's actually made it so that I am limited to where I can go and sometimes my bowel movements are very large and will fill up the bag real quick before you can empty it out and the gas will build up so bad in the bag that will actually just locate the flange from the skin so you cannot live a normal life with a ostomy bag like for instance you can't bend over to pick anything up or it will break loose the adhesion to it and it will disfigure the stoma ring and the whole bag literally starts to dislocate from your body and it cannot stand sweat at all and it starts coming off when you sweat so once again the answer is no you cannot have a normal life with an ostomy bag
