      Hi, it's been about 5 years since we owned this model, so my memory is a little vague. I recall the bike rack being a 'Fiamma - CarryBike', because we did order some new trays at some point to be able to carry extra bikes, but I can't remember a specific model number. Sorry! If you give Don Amotts a call (based in Hilton near Derby 01283 732193) they're usually really helpful. Also of course you could contact Autosleeper themselves, who also have been very helpful to us several times. They're in Worcestershire, we actually drove there once to collect a replacement window. Their workshop is so impressive, and the sales counter staff extremely knowledgeable. auto-sleepers.com/ Good luck 🙂 Best regards, Jane at DMH

      @@jamesbaldwin7018 Hello again. The housing is for a 'travel size' bottle of toilet blue, which contains 400ml. At the recommended 25ml per cassette recharge, this would provide 16 changes, so an average of 32 days use. There is also space for a 400ml bottle of toilet pink, which isn't used in the cassette, instead it is added to the water flush tank - we do not use toilet pink though, because it can clog internal pipes which are difficult to reach. Instead one can drop the occasional sterilising Milton tablet into the water flush tank. This of course means that you can store two bottles of toilet blue underneath the cassette, meaning you could travel for at least 64 days without needing to buy or store more blue. Hope that helps 🙂 Best wishes, Jane at DMH

    How do you empty the waste water (grey) on the pollensa?

    • @dmhmotorhomehire7110
      @dmhmotorhomehire7110 Před 4 měsíci

      Hi Chris, I was just looking through our videos because I'm sure it's on one of them, but can't seem to find it. There is usually a tap for emptying the grey water on the off side of the vehicle, just in front of the rear wheel. Take care though not to confuse it with a similar tap you might see that is for draining down the fresh water tank when winterising. Tip: because grey water is free of chemicals and not actually dirty we tend to leave the tap open all the time, unless on site on a hard standing when they usually don't allow it. The reason being when it is closed for long periods of time, stagnant water smells sometimes find their way into the motorhome. Hope that helps, regards, Jane at DMH

    • @dmhmotorhomehire7110
      @dmhmotorhomehire7110 Před rokem

      Hi David. This would usually indicate that there is an iterruption to the gas supply. The gas may have run out and you didn't realise (we've all done it), it may be switched off at the bottle, it may be switched off at the main inlet tap, or the fridge could have it's own isolator tap, they are sometimes quite concealed. There could be a kink in the pipe that leads to the bottle or the connection to the bottle might not be tight enough. A good way to identify this is to pour some diluted washing up liquid around the seal, if you see tiny bubbles, there is a leak. If all of those things check out ok, you would be safest to contact an expert. Best wishes, Jane at DMH

      Hi, we don't own this model any more but from memory I would estimate it to be 5' x 6'. Also to note it is designed for children or small adults, not because of size but more to do with weight. If a small adult is planning on sleeping up there they need to be aware that the distance from the bed to the roof is about 3 feet max, ie you cannot sit up in bed. Hope that helps! 🙂

What I was wondering was what might be best for when you stop for an hour or two say for a pub lunch or to visit somewhere before stopping overnight. Does it stay cold if you leave in 12v or do you generally have to switch the gas on in the locker and fire up the gas whilst temporarily parked? Cheers, appreciate any pointers. Adrian.

  • @dmhmotorhomehire7110
    @dmhmotorhomehire7110 Před 2 lety

    This is usually a gas starvation issue. However if you are sure there is gas in the bottle, and all the gas taps including isolator taps are switched on, it could be a faulty burner unit. This would require a qualified engineer to resolve. It isn't too expensive and many do an exchange system via post, if you look online they're reasonable easy to find. Gary at Arc Systems knows what he's doing, he's based in outer Nottingham I don't have his details any more though.

Dimensions are as follows: Height 11 feet, Length 22 feet (including unextended bike rack approx 2 feet), Width 9 feet (with wing mirrors out). These are generous dimensions because we provide them for hirers and do not want them taking chances with low bridges / narrow roads etc as they are not usually used to driving a motorhome. @dmhmotorhomehire7110 Před 3 lety

      Hi Lynette, it's hard to say without seeing it of course, but first don't overlook the obvious things like is there some gas in the bottle, is the bottle fully opened, and is the fridge's isolation tap swithed on? They are sometimes in a cupboard under or near the fridge and sometimes have another one as well sitting alongside all the other isolation taps. Failing that, if the ignitor has stopped ticking, you may find that the fridge has in fact come on, but they are so quiet you wouldn't know. They sometimes take some time to cool down to, so leave it for a few hours then come back to it and have a feel inside the ice box. If none of that works it will be time to call an engineer. Local engineers with Google recommendations will usually be fair with price, and may even advise you over the phone. Good luck with it :)
