@@hildalaw7627 34 MPH on GPS, it gets to 28 pretty quickly. I could probably get a higher top speed by changing sprockets but would sacrifice some acceleration. I don't think I would really want to go any faster on that frame though to be honest.
i have the 29 inch gt aggressor pro got it recently about 200+ miles on it wanting to turning it into an e bike so will the same setup you have here work the same?

Is the battery on yours the one Luna still has available on their site? Looks like it’s about 14” long and 4.25” tall. I’m just trying to see what size battery fits on this frame before I spend a bunch of money on an e-bike kit.

Yeah that is pretty close on the measurements with it mounted on the bike. I looked at my old order and 52v Luna Wolf V2 LG MJ1 13.5ah is the model of battery. It looks like its currently out of stock on their website however, I have seen it re-stocked at times.

They are the TechSpec Snake Skin Tank Pads from RevZilla. I like them a lot I have another motorcycle I put the TechSpec pads on because I didn't like the ones it had on it.

Congratulations, a year ago last May I bought the Luna cycle Galaxy paint bike only and a month ago I purchased the BBS HD and I'm about to begin my build I'll be ordering my battery from Luna soon. I am going after range and not a ludicrous amount of speed. I am totally happy with all of Luna's products. They sure do make beautiful bikes.

You need to have those bar end weights to cancel buzz on the z400 and many motorcycles..The stock mirrors on the Z 400 are not very well placed or long enough. I added a set of rox bar risers to my z400.. that moved my handlebars up and back slightly and my mirrors up 2 1/2 inches. I also added a small fisheye stick on mirror in the corner of my left mirror. That also permitted me to retain the benefits of the bar and mirrors for reducing the buzz that the Z 400 has. I’ve also switched to foam grips which greatly reduced the fatigue from the bus through the bars. It may not seem like much for the first half hour, but after a couple hours, the buzz without having foam grips has an effect on you. I’ve also added VFR 800 foot pegs that are rubber topped. And they greatly reduce the buzz through the stock foot pegs which also wears on you. I have videos here on CZcams I’ve done 23 upgrades to my z400 for Comfort and carrying capacity. I wouldn’t dare experiment with different exhaust, or computer settings, or airbox changes. The factory knows more than I do so I leave the way the engine runs completely stock.. there are people out there that will sell you anything to make a buck, and make claims of better power or greatly increased gas mileage, just put those people in the same category you put Robo calls. Leave your Airbox, computer, exhaust completely stock, that is quite a miracle balancing act that the factory has performed making these machines run as well as they do, for as long as they do..

It is great for a first bike I have really enjoyed mine. It has as much power as you really need for the most part. The only place its really lacking is passing power at 80 MPH or higher but it can still get up to around 110 MPH.

With the nubs that are left on the bars from where the stock mirrors screw into, do you know the size? so I can just stick a Bolt in there to prevent water and gunk getting in it
Hello, according to the description of the parts I ordered it is a M10 x 1.25 screw. I also took those brackets and flipped them upside down later and it makes it look better. @@rcander86 yeah, my buddy always says to me, "why did you take that line- you should of went there or there or there" He doesnt wear glasses, so he doesnt understand that I can only see clearly-what my nose is pointed at, so I cant see a full view window anymore. If I look to the left or the right for other lines, then I cant see straight where Im going, lol So I like to ride the main trails or out in the main sand pit where I can see where Im going easier.

Nvm I had to mount it the same place you did, anywhere else I tried putting it on the bar and it didn’t close, I was able to see my speed and everything even with the phone vertical btw but I’m also 6’1 so idk if that’s why you couldnt
Yeah, I just confirmed that before seeing your edit. I tried to move it around, and it would not fit anywhere else on my bars either. So you can probably go to a hardware store and pick up a longer screw. I think it is an M6. I will confirm later today and then you could move it to a different spot if you want. And yeah, that's probably the reason I can't see over it when it's in the vertical orientation. I'm short, haha, only 5'6". Thanks for the comment!
I was wrong its actually an M4 screw after checking at the hardware store.

Yes, it is safe to replace the stock muffler with a slip on at any mileage and without a tune. You really only have to worry about a tune when you are also changing the header because it is where the catalytic converter is located. Yes, I personally would still recommend them. After reading your comment I looked through the reviews on Amazon. I found one negative review that says don't buy if you value your life because the adjustment lever on the clutch side fell off. I have ridden 900+ miles now with mine and after reading that I went to check to see if mine were loose and it was still as tight as when I installed them. I did make sure everything was nice and tight after the install so maybe they didn't check when they installed them or maybe theirs vibrated loose. You could also add some thread locker for extra peace of mind as the adjustment lever should have no reason to ever come off and I do not believe this will affect the operation of the adjustment switch. How do you like the new wind screen?
It did not really help much with the wind but I didn't think it really would anyway. I think it looks better especially from the riding POV. Feels more complete and less dirt bikey in my opinion.
