Pakistan’s MOST INTENSE Parade: The Wagah Border
Pakistan was not a country I expected to travel to. I definitely didn’t expect to fall in love!
The first day was quite intense as we ventured to the Wagah Border Parade Ceremony. This occurs at the border of Pakistan & India every single day.
Tips when going to the Parade:
👉🏽the first gate is a long walk to the entrance . If your tour or driver is not authorized to drive past the first gate, you will have to walk. Bring comfortable shoes if that’s the case
👉🏽You can get your face painted for a few rupees. I typically don’t like to have paint or unwashed brushed on my face but I took a chance. Just be aware that the brush is probably not that sanitary
👉🏽 GET THERE EARLY. I probably should have put this as #1 . Seats are first come, first serve. I recommend getting there 1 hr in advance
👉🏽Have fun! I had a great time shouting “Pakistan!” And watching the parade. It’s a pretty cool experience

Please don’t speak on what you don’t know or understand. That was the price agreed upon and quoted to me. Every country has a different economy. By overtipping or overpaying we are making things worse for everyone especially locals . So no I’m not wrong. I would have been wrong if I paid what I would pay in the USA because the economy is completely different

It’s quite beautiful, food is great, good healthcare, friendly people, nice beaches in Tobago, lower coast of living… much more. Not for everyone, but I love it!
The same reason they move to Chile, Argentina, DR, Brazil, England, Africa, for a simple life.
