I realize that this beautiful piece was composed pre-pandemic, but I cannot help but think that this performance in June 2021 reflects much of our shared experiences of forced solitude--- loneliness bordering at times on despair but with decided notes of joyful optimism and self-contentment. Gorgeously written, the collaborative rendition by the composer, Alex Verster, and the pianist, John Reddihough, was both brilliantly executed and lovingly delivered to the audience. I cannot stop listening to it. Bravi, gentlemen!
