Makes me misss my old job 😂
Reminds me of the Yellow Jacket leak detector.
I just move the condenser when my bend is off 😂 this is a great video
Thank you 👍
Can you post a link to buy that box set of tools
The box and tools were all purchased separately, you have to make it yourself. All the tools were purchased from amazon and tinner tools but they are currently unavailable, I will see if I can find alternatives links and will put them in description part of video.
That set of tools does it come in a box? Like that if yes link please
No the tools have to be purchased separately from the box, then you have to assemble it yourself.
Why would you take a reading at the ducts and not the registers
I performed a repair in the unit located in the attic, So its quicker to get your reads at the plenum connected to the A/C unit. Also it’s best to get readings from the supply and return plenums connected to the unit rather than the registers.
What
you should try and use the male tool and cut two of your cuts to make the connection stronger
Thanks for the feedback 👍
My Makita battery fits directly into my 2 cfm Navac. Would it fit into this one as well ?
Thats cool, I don’t have makita batteries so sorry not sure if it would work.
Thanks for being my refresher course on how to reset these things.
Yea man you’re welcome 👍
Thanks my name is Alex Z. too
Oh wow thats cool bud 👍
what are differences in using mixing boxes instead of T wyes?
I’m looking into a set to purchase. What your take on Hilmor? Are they better or?
Both hilmor and cps work good, my go to bend has been the hilmor since its quicker to set up with the snap on features vs the wing nut on the cps. The cps does show you when you reach your 90 degree bend though. I don’t think one is better than the other they are both very solidly built, I haven’t had any issues with the cps or hilmor bender.
How much 1 1/8 bending have U done with it
Im not sure but I probably use it about 1 to 3 times a month on 1 1/8 copper, don’t run into alot of 1 1/8 copper. I haven’t had any issues with it, but if your doing a lot of bends then a lever bender may work better.
Thank u man u are a life saver
Ur welcome, glad this helped you👍
Super helpful!
Awesome 👍
Love these videos!
Thank you 👍
@@AZSolutions92 wlcm
Good video!👍
Thank you 👍
How do u know when u reach 90 degree bend?
You have to eye ball it with the hilmor, use a speed square, but the cps bender does have a 90 degree indicator.
Have the 2cfm love it.
Awesome 👍
what about an AG3000 power sure from Intermatic installation on A/H with heat strips Thanks
Good idea, will add that to the list 👍
Thanks a lot Mr. Z for your help on the wet switch. Is very clear and I just finished installing mine I tried to install it when I bought it but I couldn’t find something as clear as your. God bless you sir.
You are welcome, glad to hear this video was helpful to you 👍
👍 thank you homie !
Yea your welcome bud 👍
I just started doing rough ins this week. I was wondering if you could do a full rough-in tutorial. I just seen your rough-in video from 2 years back, however I need more detail.
In your opinion which one is better?
I’ve had better experiences with the DR82, its my go to and i grab the DR58 as a second opinion. So I if you only plan to get one I lean toward the 82
@@AZSolutions92even tho in the video it looks like you struggled a bit to find it with the 82 compared to the 58?
Yes because if the leak has contaminated a whole are it's hard to find if the detector goes off everywhere.
Does the dr82 detect all kinds of refrigeration? really thinking about buying one but wanna make sure before spending all that money
Interesting, keep at it you'll get better at this with time !
Thank you
Thanks
No problem
Hey man , my thermostat went blank & heat turned off . I changed the batteries & turned back on . But now my furnace won't turn on , I climbed up to attic & wet switch is red , not really wet in the pan but the wet switch bottom is damp & when pressing it, it won't turn on . I'm going to try & dry it fully/maybe dry vac it& see if that works (( would you know what else it could be , I don't want to pay a 175$ service call in if I don't have to ) also the furnace door light blinks green now ???
How would you use this to bend a mini split line where you don’t need to measure the distance from one end. If I just want to bend the copper on my center marked point on the pipe I just line up that line with either point on the bender?
Thanks man!
Thanks! Helped out on the jobsite
Good video. My 6 CFM JB "grew feet" last week. I had that bad boy for about 10 years 😢. I was interested in this for a while. I like this, for when you can't find power on commercial roofs and you don't want to use a suicide cord. 👍🏽
Thanks you!👍Oh wow that sucks bud, I now the feeling. I always try put everything back in my van as soon as im done using it and lock it. Some people have no respect for others good earned tools
@@AZSolutions92 I ended up buying that 4 CFM navac battery pump. It's pretty good for small to medium sized systems. We work on a lot of 15-20 Liebert crac units and I wanted to see how the pump would do. Took about 40 minutes to get to 500 CFM,with Big blue hoses. The only con is that it comes with the one battery and if you wanted to use power to run it,the adapter cord costs $250 . Not a bad purchase. Thanks for the video,it helped with my decision bro. 👌🏽
Thank you so much 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
1st cut TRUE,all the rest minus half inch.
Nice job! How many man hours did it take you to do the rough in?
thats how it be
Sir male and female duct
EXCELLENT EXPLANATION AND COMPARISON!!!!! It is SAD that HILMOR DOESN'T include instructions on how to use their equipment properly. WELL DONE!!!!
Using the red tool which is my favorite, i always use the left edge of the tool instead on the center mark, the V cut is 1.5 inch then from that 1.5 inch I make my second cut whaterver size duct I'm working on. Now in the beginning of the board if the board is 1 inch thick I add 1 inch to the first panel and cut half inch and the top of the board, then at the last panel I add an extra 1/2 inch but a straight cut that way you will have a very seal tight board. For some reason I do the cutting really fast and I'm not a professional per say, I'm a AC Tech.
As I understand, the IR model is triggered by a differential. Accordingly, one has to keep the wand sweeping during the scan unlike the HD model.
That’s how most infrareds are. I’m considering buying the HD spec of this leak detector because I have an ultrasonic for when I want to pin point or can’t accurately gauge what my tek mate is saying. But I honestly think either of these are good choices they both tell you if you are getting closer and they both check down to the same leak level at 0.03 which is lower than any soap bubble. Fieldpiece has Inficon beat imo for the price
Was this a design layout or you designed yourself?
What city and state are you in?
Hi, thank you for the your very interesting video. Can you tell me where can I purchase the groove tools ? Thank you. Dior
This is when a white girl runs into a black man's arms , she been held captive for like 18 or 20 years or something like that...
Hoarder house
😂😂😂
Hey Sheet metal worker here, curious, if you used the same standards for metal elbows, would the airflow improve? (I.E a full throat elbow) Using the miter rise formula to get a full throat elbow on that 15" wide duct, you'd have to cut the throat for that middle piece at approx 11.5 inches instead of 3 inches. though maybe that's just not practical?
Great Job!!
Could also show how to troubleshoot the unit like read schematic I'm alittle weak with the whole electrical side of things thanks great video 📹
Thanks for this
