Cold Day in COTA
Video of me hanging out with V1Moto @ RideSmart event and a lap of COTA on a cold November day with not much available grip. It was wet, rainy and miserable for the better part of the weekend, then weather cleared up slightly and allowed to run 3 sessions on Sunday. This is 2:28 lap from session 3.

Did u get akra map from ktm or get custom map from tuner
Akra map from KTM 👍
Excellent Riding did you use launch control for both runs? If yes then you can try without launch control it can do even better
Thanks man. I was using LC. My best 0-60 time not on video was 2.92 sec. Solo DL2 lap timer. Never really tried without LC. I sold this particular bike about a year ago. Riding KTMs these days 👌
These ktm bikes sounds like crap even in liter class 🤢 Kawasaki z900, Yamaha r6, r1, cbr600 makes 1000 times better inline 4 sound :)
What a load of bollocks 🙄
What gear do you do your wheelies in?
Clutch ups in 2nd typically. Power wheelies in 1, 2 and 3. And when upshifting with front in the air all the way to 5th.
Isn't the exhaust worth like $6k?
Not that bad. That would be Panigale prices. This one is roughly half that or about.
definition of useless: 1290 superduke front wheel 😂
tnx for sharing czcams.com/video/AVyRF21WAgQ/video.html
That was bomb dude, I just purchased a new 2022 Duke390 yeeehaaa!!🤣
worse than noise
Is this with stock mapping?
Negative. I ran full Akra with Akra map
V engines always sound the best 👌🏻 👍🏻 😍 🥰 ☺️ 💖
Nice. Love it.
I thought this was going to be another lame fly by vid with a few throttle blips. Noooop. You impressed the shit out of me! Well done, sir.
Thank you for the kind words, brother. Glad you liked it! This bike still remains my favorite for street riding - way better than any superbike for that. LC8 engine in this trim is sublime. 16000 miles so far. No plans to sell 👍
@@TheSuperpod I love that bike. I am very happy with my 690 SMC R and 890 Duke R! Be safe, bro!
Super nice but this monster get eat by my NSR 500 hehehe sorry
Hello friend, would it be ok if I use this video in my next compilation? I'll credit you in the description and add the link of your video. Thanks
Yep. No problem 👍
All those wheelies but you still have chicken strips? 🐔
New tire. Trust me I don’t. LOL
👌👌👌👍👍👍
i fucking love this bike so much
I share your sentiment. I also own 500 EXCF and 2022 Super Adventure S. I haven’t ridden the Duke for a couple of months and yesterday when I jumped on it after riding these other bikes, it felt so damn great. Sharp, far better running engine that stock SAS and just so quick. The contrast between SAS and SDR is more than between SDR and Panigale V4!
@@TheSuperpod i live in egypt bro i never saw the Duke in my country but the biker soul i have tells me its amazing and what i need xD
Nice good
Wow super duck
Magnificent :D
sounds awful tbh, only ducatis sound okay in 2-cylinder bikes
The dukes are crazy wheelie machines love it
Tons of torque, short swing arm and little weight over the front makes them very prone to wheelies, which is a massive fun
czcams.com/users/shortsmlofVHfnfjg?feature=share. Man that V4s and I was a good race!. The V4s is scary fast, On a roll race he destroyed me.
czcams.com/video/4Rz_unS17Do/video.html my run against my friend on a v4s
Your V4 and my K8 gixxer will be a good race. I ran 9.90 when I weighted 207lbs, now I'm 172lbs. I'm going to make the gearing a bit taller to +1/ stock rear. New clutch and valve adjustment. I'm guessing I'll run a 9.7-9.6.. I run stock wheelbase, so I can't got WOT in first gear.
Nice work dropping weight 👍 I’ve done that myself and I know it is work and dedication. I hope you are right, but every tenth from 9.9 down is a step and 9.6 vs 9.9 is a vast gap. Just saying. Good luck !
@@TheSuperpod I know we're going to see this summer I'll let you know. you did a great job running that before erase the buddy on the V4 and he did not run as good as you. All I did to lose weight was just starting to eat healthy
Do you have any vibrations thru the right footpeg around 4000-5000 rpm?
I wanna say that I had something like that. Don’t remember exact details and how it resolved , but I haven’t had any vibrations that would bother me for over a year at least.
Those headers are fucking art
Agreed 100%
😘😘😘
Hi bro
Hi again mate, what suspension settings are you running , I know it has settings displayed under seat. Comfort standard sport etc . Intrested to see what people are running setting wise ? 🙂🏍💨
Hi. I am of an opinion if it ain’t broken don’t fix it. Suspension on this bike stock is really good. On this particular bike for street use only I find standard settings as the best, even for the most aggressive style of running. I ran both sport and standard recommended settings for a great deal of time and I always come back to standard , although sport is great too. It is more comfortable in standard and also more compliant on most road surfaces that are less than ideal. The only thing I changed was steering dampener, stock dampener wasn’t good enough for my kind of use. I run upgraded adjustable WP dampener and it is great. I actually just dropped off the bike at authorized WP suspension shop to rebuilt the entire suspension using only stock components. Bike has about 12000 miles and my rear shock started to leak. I also felt suspension was overdue for some maintenance. PS. For race use and serious track riding this is where more work and upgrades, changes are needed. I do it only if I feel the need, for all mods for that matter. My 2 cents.
@@TheSuperpod thanks for your reply mate , I’ve only just got the bike 250 miles in , I’ve set it to sport mode only reason is I’m 16-17 stone so leaving the preload on 0 as it says under the seat for comfort and standard didn’t sit right with me , but I’m going to set it all back to standard or comfort and compare. I think the bike wAs in standard when I picked it up but I haven’t tried comfort yet , but will now after your reply , thanks mate 🙂🏍💨
@@v4_ash273 ah. Sorry mate. I misspoke. I meant standard, not comfort. I never used comfort. And I also wasn’t talking about sag in the rear. Sag is best set for your weight with help from someone else measuring. For rear sag I also go by feel and generally can dial it in without measuring. I prefer the bike not to squat too much under hard acceleration. Sorry for confusion. I edited my reply above.
It sounds like some at Ducati said “screw let’s throw a bag of spanner’s in to the engine”
fuck Yes! 💪
Hi Ithe full akra disables the indicators ? What part did you use and is install easy ? Thanks 😊
Hi we’re did you get your side fairing decals from please ????

First flashback with this sound: my mother's stichting machine.
Sick!!
Please answer my dumb question. Why are the pipes blue/purple in colour?
I believe this is the color of the titanium oxide. When titanium alloy is exposed to heat in presence of oxygen it will form this oxide on its surface.
@@TheSuperpod Oh okay thanks for answering! I was worried it might be blue brittleness caused in martensitic steel though it is very unlikely.
@@MridhulIyer yeah, typically steel headers don’t get hot enough to change into pretty color. Titanium alloy is a different story. Some people color Ti with a torch, but I am not a fan of that. This right here is its natural coloring, the hotter the pipe the more blue it is. I did run the bike at high rpm without overheating the engine to make it richer 👌
Love the sound and incredible wheelies! Great video thank you!
Why did you take the fairing off?
I think I was installing race fairing at the time
@@TheSuperpod like you couldn’t race with the original fairing?
5 gorre ke.

great video .. congratulations question, where did you get the tank protector stickers, what brand are they?
These are Tech Spec. I think I bought on Amazon. They help to stay connected to the bike better under hard braking and when hanging off. Thanks.
@@TheSuperpod Grazie,ho controllato su Amazon ma non trovo il tuo prodotto..non hai la marca specifica del tuo prodotto?..scusa ma sono i più belli mai visti
