The twins enjoying the late sun. Now 5 weeks old. Prefer the natural recorded sound but the neighbours and there machines were having their fun!

After some confusion I have confirmed that these two fawns are twins. There is another mother and fawn that visits less frequent and I did get to see them all together recently which cleared some doubts I had. Having said that there is just a chance there may be two sets of twins!!

Today (10 06 24) it was a case of right time, right place, and the sun appeared to add an extra sparkle!! Our two fawns were on one of their excursions away from mother when they're sampling all things green!! I stood as motionless as I could for over 10 minutes whilst they browsed around me. Probably my closest encounter with a Fawn. It was approaching me and was 8ft away when it stopped. If I hadn't raised my camera to film it would have come much closer! Perhaps wisely it looked me over and then returned to its mother.

We have 2 fawns but by different mothers! The previously filmed mother with her own fawn and sharing parental duties with another mothers fawn!

After seeing a Deer at the feeding station I took a chance walk at 8.30am into the woodland and was more than rewarded with wonderful views of our female Roe Deer with newborn fawn. We suspected she had given birth but had no sightings. She was so relaxed and allowed me to record these special moments. We think the fawn is no more than five days old and probably only about two!

This year old female Roe Deer came hobbling onto our property around 6 weeks ago. She had a clean break in her right sided back leg about 20cm above the foot. Her chances were not too good. Hi there in Florida. Its great when they have twins but also twice the worry. Ours stay close together but go on walkabouts without mom quite a lot. They're growing at the rate of knots to! 😊😊

Very kind of you to say so. It was my first sighting of a Mediterranean Gull. And quite a character he was watching him for over an hour! Completely outnumbered by hundreds of Black Headed Gulls!
