Hack and Decimate are best kept beneath 8, except when you really want to create something that is messed up. To emulate early digital I found that Decimate and Hack being set at 6-8 is best.

I actually haven’t been playing the keys for a little bit. However I would still buy the virus, it’s just faster and more organic to use a physical synth with knobs, etc than a mouse or midi mapped buttons. The virus is still a powerful and super high quality instrument.

Thank you for your overview. I’m eying the TI2 as possible main synth and controller keyboard. Can you tell me if you can use the keyboard in split mode and control another synth on one zone and the TI on the other zone. If not, can you at least have the TI2 active and controlled by a sequencer while you are using its keyboard for another synth ? The idea is it to act in the setup as both controller and synth. Currently using an SL 49 mkiii but would like to simplify the setup as much as possible. Thanks

WHen I edit or create a patch from scratch... i'm always in the edit mode. Lastly, Since I'm using a tracker DAW called RENOISE, I cant use the TI2 software.. SO I have to do it old school way. ..

This is great...thanks for making this video. I wonder if you might do a similar one for the Moog Subsequent 37 (although much of it is probably the same as for the Sub Phatty). Also, I would echo one of the other commenters about how nice it would be to see/hear some musical context, perhaps demonstrate how these synths might be used to recreate some classic and iconic synth sounds. Thanks again; great video!

Can someone please produce a video of this instrument being used in a "musical" setting; demonstrating the unit in a band. I am so tired of demos of funny sounds. I am keyboard player, who plays live and in the studio. Hearing it with a band is more important to me than hearing someone playing a bunch of sound effects.

The classic effects sounds for analog synths can be found in a myriad of musical settings from such artists as Pink Floyd - On the Run and Any Colour You Like (Dark Side of the Moon), the intro to Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Welcome to the Machine (Wish You Were Here). The Alan Parsons Project - I, Robot title track from I, Robot and there's a cool resonance filter sweep example in the intro of The Voice off the same album.
