My Running Story
With some new faces around here, I thought Iâd take a little time to share my story and re-introduce myself.
Iâve always tried to keep my CZcams page mostly educational and more about helping YOU than posting about me -
But I do feel it helps to have a little background on the dude youâre following.
So, hereâs that background.
I am fully booked for 1 on 1 clients through the first few months of â24, but if youâd still like some help in your running -
I launched my app for beginner runners towards the end of last year, and would encourage you to check it out.
It has everything you need to start running & build a strong and healthy foundation - then go on to smash some PRâs. đ
You can check it out at the link on my channel page.
Thanks for following along, and always feel free to reach out with any questions or comments!

Here was my stages: 1) I hate running. 2) I'll instead stuff my face with unhealthy food till I reach 110kg. 3) I'll get a clogged artery in a toe. 4) I spend 14 days in the hospital hooked up to an infusion 24/7. 5) I love running. 6) lost 23 kg. 7) still love running. 8) will run till the day I drop dead from a heart attack probably.

Hoka shoes are bad
Dude. The stride. I subscribed because of that sir.
Thank you man!
I started running three days ago! And it was amazing! Even if im skinny I always lacked stamina(mainly from training wrong). After the leg day i run 2.5km 30min. The day after i runned 5.5km 50min. And i cannot move now. Really i always did ton of sports before this is the first time im getting this sore. Anyways should i run when im this sore? I read some marathoners run for recovery. Btw david goggins change lifes because of him i like running. Edit: I waited about a week, and runned 8.5km, I am not that sore, but really really tired.
This would be me but every time I run I get really bad shin splints after a week or so and lower back pain
Than youre going to fast and too far. You need to train and let your body get used to staying on your feet. That could mean that you have too start with only walking.
You should also try and fix your running form, running with bad form can cause shin splints.
Hereâs my journey so far 1. I hate running 2. I canât believe Iâm doing this in high school 3. Scared starting XC week before high school 4. Finished XC season as rookie of the year 5. Starts to think running isnât that bad 6. Canât breathe for shit in indoor 7. Gets sick and out for entire indoor season 8. Outdoor track starts up Iâm thinking I might quit 9. Gets into the workouts and motivation 10. Starts loving running and wants to pursue into an extreme athlete when I get older whilst being apart of a high school team
Ok let's try, thanks
Did my first half marathon today. My formula? No training, busy shift at work and partying the day before, 6 hours of sleep. 2:03:51. Just one foot in front of the other, didn't slow down or walk, because I knew I'd never get back on pace.
Thatâs crazy
How miserable was that run tho?
@@tylercarey5211 tbh it was pretty good, easier than I thought it would be. Being a cyclist who has completed a few ultra endurance events, I am used to dealing with pain for extended periods of time. What I was most surprised about was that I didn't cramp up when I was running. Usually when I'm cycling I cramp up pretty badly, although usually after at least 4 hours of really hard riding.
@@biketheperson6919 haha I would never be able to do that after a day of partying, glad you had a good race!
I never understood the eyes looking straight ahead, for me I can breathe better and run faster looking down
I bet you its not going to work for almost anyone and here's why Understand this, you need to be fit enough for brisk walking so you can dream of running, a nice milestone would about 7.5kms in 1 hour 40 minutes Don't try to convert your walking into running, because they're not same, most people will fail after 2 miles of running with injuries and will never come back Because walking doesn't teaches you how to run, you would apply so much force on your each stride that you will hurt your back foot or heel, and more accumulate the pain your closer to failure If you don't believe me, go to any running coaching centre, they won't train you running from the basis of your walking, Instead you can try "run on place", it won't increase your heart rate, it will teach how to land your mid foot, and condition your ankle, train like this until you reach one hour mark, I promise you will be able to run apx 6 km under 50 minutes, its super slow run, it will hurt your quads and you will feel it more tomorrow, but continue this three more days, and , take three days off, and repeat, wallah you'r into running, Next goal is would be lots of slow but long runs to build your aerobics, it might take 3 months to a year it varies from person to person, it took me over 9 months because i was overweight when i started Then you can start speed training....
Me
My only problem is that I run hard a lot
My mind: What if you dont have legs
â€â€ Thank You

Nvm i like running 17. i wanna train for a 10k 18. i did my first 10k!!! 19. half marathon next!!!
Camera manđ
Yes this is so accurate. Another thing is to do longer workouts when you run fast. I just finished up my track season and my coaches had us do a lot of 200m repeats but in XC season I ran longer workouts like 1 mile 800m 400m repeats and my mile time was a 4:51 and my 800m was a 2:18. Now I run a 5:09 mile with a 2:15 800m all as an 8th grader. So make sure if you want to build a big base and not go backwards in your training you donât do this sprint training but work on the endurance aspect of training and youâll go much further
Wait your mile time regressed?
I'm going straight from 1 to 4. I'm doing a half marathon in a week, started training for it last week. What could go wrong?
Best of luck brother đ«Ą
Brother lost a bet
@@jant1804 I just signed up for lols, having never run more than 5km before. But then I realised I should probably do at least a couple runs beforehand, so I did a 10km and felt fine. That was the entirety of my training. Race day tomorrow, possible rain, pretty hilly course (465m climbing). Let's hope I surviveđ
How'd it go?â@@biketheperson6919
How it went for me: 1. I hate running 2. Ehh I kinda like it now 3. Might run a 5K 4. Run a 5K 5. That was a good XC season, let me run track 6. I hate running
Facts
I had like 2 off weeks with my legs in cross country, after joining track my legs have been in a constant cycle of pain with monday being the weekly villain to ruin the rest of the week đ
