Nice video but would have been nicer if the navigator didn't fidget so much. Was a bit distracting.

Great to see this from their viewpoint, isn't it!?.....Brilliant!
Superb video ! Saw this display at the 2011 malta airshow. Impressive ! Thanks for sharing
Git back round and fly straight over that building
I can't find a more half arsed relaxed better landing of a fighter plane than this..... superb video.
I miss the old tonkas.a lot better display than the typhoon.noisy but so boring the display needs changing like a two ship role demo like the tornadoes did.even the reds have gone boring
his eyes are everywhere, can't imagine a pilot on a B.737 from London to Belfast being so aware of the environment around them. this guy is so involved in what's around him.
That's what's called a navigator / WSO with nothing to actually do because no-one is scheduled to die today! Keep his eyes open and tell the driver what to do next...
This pilot knows his Tornado! 👍
Whilst the pilot holds on and looks around during high-g turns, the rest of us would be unconscious in the footwell.
GR4 swing wing of death. As soon as they go back yer getting it
Stunning!! Truly awesome stuff. So good to have that camera angle over the shoulder. I love the run in near the end when you see the two shadows on the field below!
FANTASTIC! What a joy to be able to ride along in this great quality video. Thanks for posting this excellent film and the subsequent recovery back to John Lennon which is also brilliant! (So delighted it wasn't ruined with the addition of terrible music either!).
A superb piece of filming from such an unusual viewpoint - made all the more special with the retirement of the "Tonka" from frontline duty. You've missed a treat if you never got to experience a Tornado, wings fully swept and ripping up the sky in person. Great to see the city skyline and Hale village. Thank you.
Superb !!!
Cripes bit close to shore line, you wouldn't have been able to land with no tyres!
Awesome demonstration of our Armed Forces, thanks for the video, you guys are the best : )
Fantastic stuff! There were years of life left in this jet, to be sure. Rest In Pieces.
Bet this was quite a sight from the ground too, at this height.
20 odd seconds in another jet just before the turn .cool video
Fabulous. Thank you for sharing. I really envy you.
One of the best cockpit videos out there. Just superb. No music made it brilliant. Thank you.
That’s beautiful footage. I really like the fact the video doesn’t have any silly music on it. You just simply enjoy all the real sounds. Must have been awesome to watch from the ground. Excellent video!
Just another day in the office for these boys , I think am in the wrong job ha ha
Superb to watch really enjoyed .
I’m related to the lead pilot :)
God I miss this display 😞
Bloody brilliant!! 😀
Surprised the Scouse cunts didn't steal it midair the fucks are master thieves
Is this a Tornado stolen to order being delivered to Liverpool? Its all moved on from the Ford Capri.
That was about as funny as aids
@@stephenmears3064 He`s just another mouthy muppet mate, who wouldn`t dare come here and say it in person.
Can anyone tell me what the whistling sound is?
the british air industry is very Rooted and old and came with some of the best fighter aircraft in the world .....
Lightening for me . I've seen them in cape town and it could still mix it with the best . And so many countries have learned from british aviation .
No matter how many times I watch this footage it makes me even more homesick than I already am... Unapologetic military aviation 'nutter', ex-RAF and lifetime Scouser. Doesn't get any better than this !
Love our RAF
might not have the range but would prefer my upcoming holiday with this than an a380....decommissioned i think now....any hires?
As twitchy as fuck that Navigator
Another institution of Royal Air Force history "the RAF leuchers" (Battle of Britain Memorial Day) airshow that government the budget cuts has put an end to. Drove past the air base the other day whilst working and looked at the empty hangers, empty houses, deserted tarmac that was filled for years with phantoms then tornado Gr4's and it was a pitiful sight. If anyone wants to see evidence first hand of the demise of our fabulous RAF that the government has successfully put a smoke screen over then drive past this base and you'll see it for yourself. I went to this airshow for 24yrs and for the silver spoon toffs in Westminster to save a pound I'll never get to see another one. On a positive note though we've built two aircraft carriers, another 5yrs before we fill one of them with their squadrons though. When you see the night of the USA and China, Russia and then you look at the uk without blinkers on then you see we are the smallest of fry's in 21st century
I wonder if these boys have been effected by the Government defence cuts?
Hello Mr pilot you just flew over my house in Wallasey heading towards Liverpool. Great to see.
I flew down the Mersey in the Millennium Falcon.
More like a police van 🚐
Luftwaffe had same view what an easy target
Hilbre island was used a bombing decoy to attempt to throw the hun off
As I've been led to believe the Luftwaffe radio navigation system for bombing was intercepted and altered at one point (the term "bending the beam" was used) leading to a lot of that raid dropping its bombs on rural areas some miles to the south instead of Liverpool.
Pretty cool watching the wings move
I wish commitments on the Tornado fleet would allow this again, they were the best thing on the circuit. Bring back Poker 1 & 2 before the out of service date for one last season!!!
at 5:48 boooooom! at hend of runway
The Mersey is huge.
These guys always put on such a good show, it will be missed. Surely they have some of the best jobs imaginable also? I'd give anything that is mine to give for a ride in one of these, they get paid to do it. Congratulations.
is the old girl still agile anuf . she looks a bit slugish on the tern . are your checks droping off or not ?
what is the that noise can be heard at 3.43 and 4.02
best guess would be the engines spooling up to maintain speed. If you look over the guys helmet you can see the speed-brakes deployed.
Why does he always turns le head left or right by 4 hrs clock each time heading is changing ? The other aircraft position to avoid collision courses ? Thanks
I don't know the real answer. But for this video I like to imagine that they spotted a sexy woman sunbathing and keep flying circles over the beach to get another look at her. The way his head moves with eager urgency :p
He's looking at the horizon to ensure that the aircraft is being flown correctly.
This needs to be a Google VR video
