In the front bodice where it gaps, you could have taken off the facing and sewn in a small pleat like on the bottom of the dress.

How did I miss this one? Well, here I am now! I think it's good that you ran out of fabric for the skirt. Could one want it even more full? I think this amount of panels is perfect. Can't wait to see you all gussied up to go with your dress when the wedding day arrives. Great work as always.

Love your fabric! I batch fuse pieces for projects frequently. Thanks for another close up of serger technique. I need to practice with mine. I always use a pressing material on top, but have considered getting what I think is called a”shoe” for my iron, because I use it for so many projects that use adhesives (appliqué, etc.). Haven’t yet. Thanks for sharing your methods, ideas, and insights. Lovely dress!

I love crepe backed satin and chose it for my wedding dress 30 years ago, except I preferred the crepe side and opted for satin backed crepe. No one except my dressmaker and I knew the wrong side of the fabric was deliberately on show.

Wow. This dress came out so nice. It just took too much to adjusting to fit and stay on correctly and comfortable to my liking. Maybe if I draft the pattern to my body. It really looks beautiful on you. I actually liked the high in the front lower in the back hem the dress had before you adjusted it as well. Great job.

That is my favorite dress pattern.

I absolutely love watching your videos. I’ve learned so much from you. You have such an eye for detail in everything you make. Be very careful with those heat erasable pens. You were marking on the right side of the lace. Those pens erase with heat but the ink comes back with cold. If you wear an item you’ve marked on the right side on a cold day outside the ink will reappear. Take a scrap piece of fabric and mark it with the pen. Erase the mark with the iron and then put it in your freezer for a moment and you’ll see it reappear. I learned this the hard way. ❤
