This is a former french company SNCM ship, the "Napoleon Bonaparte", which took on water in the port of Marseille. Since then, the company has sold it to GNV.

I hope this ship will turn back to superfast ferries again from grimaldi lines and come back to Greece

Excellent ship and very good looked after. Whoever travelled with this ship II asked for experience. All people said it is nice ship and crew.

Interesting video Carsten! I’m surprised you were able to enter the garage at sea. I’ve never seen that before. Well not normally anyway, except on some Italian ferry, where I saw they sailed with the Internal doors open for the whole passage. 😳

Hallo Carsten, zwei Zeitzeugen früherer "Fähr"-Zeiten. Schade, dass die Schiffe so schlecht erhalten sind. Sie wären bestimmt wertvolle Exponate in einem entsprechenden Museum. I always find it really fascinating to see abandoned ships or shipwrecks, just something about how they’re preserved amazes me. Another great video as always 👍

Was mir gerade hier wieder mal auffällt: das Schiff mag noch so groß sein, irgendwie passt es in den Sucher der Kamera und man sieht ein großes, sich bewegendes Objekt. Und dann weiß man, dass in dem Schiff hunderte Menschen sind, die sich bewegen, die lachen, reden, essen, trinken.... Jeder tut etwas, während man von außen "nur" ein sich bewegendes Schiff sieht. Das ist ein Teil der Faszination, die Schiffe für mich haben. Und wenn sie dann noch so toll "eingefangen" sind wie von Dir, Carsten, dann kann es schöner nicht sein!

I was one of the second mates when this vessel went aground off Calais and I was really surprised the ship is still in service. It was interesting 48 hours after that night back in 1995 and ones I would not wish to relive!
