SM86 works best and sounds clearest but the others would be good too with some EQ correction. Sennheiser has way too much low end.

Comprehensive demo, but as per usual, just too much. I'm a solo lead singer. Multi strumentalist violin, saxophones flute keyboard using backing tracks recently got Bose L1 pro8. Knowledge of PA ok as an experiences performer only. How do I connect this mixer? For example, how do I mute the L1 's reverb as its not good, and use the mixers? These are the things I need. OK SM58 tweaking seems effective etc. Is there a specific stand or basic mic stand fitting available? So this demo should be focus to people like me...cut down on the gizmos

I've used the Rode NT1 for over 6 years for both voiceover and vocals. It's an excellent mic. I use it in my garden studio. I also have the NT1A fo recording acoustic guitar and I have an Aston Stealth that I use for vocals

On a first listen, I actually disagree with the verdict given in the video. I think the Neumann was clearly above the others. More nuance and clarity imho.

I'm the first one to mention if something sounds fantastic, similar, or night and day. Like many of the others comments... NO DIFFERENCE... THE folks in the video mentioned as the price went up so does the sound quality. I think that's probably due to the fact they are in studio and not listening to them over the computer, or phone. Anytime I'm looking to spend $¢$ on something that produces sound always been a better choice in person. That still doesn't take away from hearing what the folks on CZcams are saying. Thank you for the great demonstration. She has an amazing voice.

The Marantz was a bit woofy compared to the other two. That can be EQ-ed to sound better, of course, but the P120 was much more balanced and I love the clarity of the sE X1. I wouldn't bother with the Marantz unless you're really strapped and like Meg said, if you want to lay some demos or whatever, it might be great as a super entry level mic. Either the P120 or the sE X1 would work for me as budget options.

Sm58 has a lot More headroom and spacial in sound. My seinnheiser e935 is a bit grainny and very Hi-Fi a purity.

It would've been good to hear them without the reflection shield, so we can hear the differences in polar patterns. The supercardioids should sound different to the 58, but we can never know because you made it irrelevant.
