Welcome to the CZcams channel of the Int. Studbook for Djallonké Goat & Sheep. (ISDGS). The ISDGS is a subsidiary of the African Ornamental Breeders Association (AOBA). On this channel we promote the Djallonké goat (also called African Pygmy goat, Nigerian dwarf and West African Dwarf Goat) & the Djallonké sheep (also called the Cameroon sheep and West African Dwarf Sheep). Lambs 7-9 months old.
Notice the wattlles on one of the Ewe Lambs. She inherited this from her mother. Wattles, also known as waddles, bells, toggles, tassels, waggles, or lassies-are finger-like dangles of haired flesh found on the throats of goats, as well as on certain breeds of swine and sheep. ... They're usually a matched set, too, although a single wattle is not unheard of. It is a very rare appearance, but they also occur in the Djallonké sheep. And it is accepted in the standard.

We are proud to announce that the first 5 sons of "Nr2" have been born. They are all polled. And it looks like they have the color brown/dark brown black belly. These healthy lambs were born during the extreme drought in the month of August 2022....

These 7 pregnant drought-stricken Djallonké sheep (Cameroon sheep) during the heat wave of 2022, were removed from the large herd so that they could be checked by a vet. These remain in isolation and are fed with concentrate pellets so that their health and that of the unborn lambs are not compromised. The European ewe champion of 2020 is almost unrecognizable. Hello, some don't eat it, others do. Everything depends on how much grass there is. Usually they only start eating it out of necessity when there is nothing else.
