Yes, you can go long range easily with this. I’m not sure anyone on CZcams has flown as far as I have with this frame with video proof. But yes you can long range and freestyle with the VD6

Which ones are you looking for? I used everything from thingiverse from similar quads with doing slight mods. I'm on the road ATM and can give you what I have when I get back

Hi 1982Travm. The frame is the same as the 9" I just moved the components of the Helion/Nazgul 10 components to the Amaxinno Frame. Well if you are planning to use a motor of this size and with an extremely low kv, you should be looking at a 13" frame. This frame is only for a 9" build. a 5002 340kv motor will have a really hard time getting off the ground with a small 9" propeller. With a 9" quad, the motor kv should be 1050kv~1200kv on 6s. 900kv would be the minimum for LR with a 9" prop

You’re very welcome Ryan! I tried to make it very simple to understand. When you do a few, it will become very easy for you with any quad. After tuning, be sure to adjust your rates to your liking. Everyone has their own preferences. I try to keep my rates close to stock settings, because IMO if you make your rates too aggressive, the quadcopter will not be as accurate and not feel locked in. I Don't own one, but by looking at the specs, you should be fine with the 1100 man battery and the Insta360, instead of getting 8 minutes (which probably means 5 minute real world use) You may only get about 2-4 minutes of flight time. I don't think you will need to tune this quad, it should be retuned and good to go out of the box. You are literally just cruising very slow. I would recommend flying with the action insta360 for under a minute first, bring it down and check the motor temps. It's very easy to burn out these little whoop motors. Ask me how I know. LOL

When you show your stuff, for example the big batteries, can you show them also in the foreground without covering them with your hands? @@NitronNitron If you have not done much long range, then you need to look at Li-ion packs on 6s and not do an 8s flight. I would use the 8 or 9inch props on 6s. Reduce the motor output limit on 6s to 90% and for 8s reduce the motor output to 70% if you bought the 3110 1280kv motors. @@NitronNitron I would buy two of them for Long range. Try a single pack first and see how long you can fly at a higher altitude locally. I call that midrange flying within a mile or 2 max. For a near 5mile flight out and back, I would run both of the packs in Parallel NOT Series and do a test flight locally to see what times you have before going that far out. A rule of thumb for me it to return when my average voltage is around 3.50 solid. Ideally you will have very little wind. But if you do, Hopefully you are flying against the wind out and with the wind back. Try and maintain about a 12a to 20a max amp draw while flying. You should be near home at 3.2 to 3.1 average voltage. At 2.99 you better be at least 1/4 mile from home. From 2.95 to 2.55 volts, the voltage drops fast. At 2.55 volts you li-ion pack is not going to hold the quad up. Parts list is in the video. It can vary from $294-$350 depending on the motor size and AliExpress price fluctuations. The frame can be had at Amazxshop for around $64-$67 and just about anything on their site using around a $5 hack on there site that I explained with Chrisbee1854 on a previous video in the comments. I won’t explain that part out loud, because it could ruin future deals for myself if it ends!😂

Always Brother…Always😂 Just remember this method is excellent on any size quad. I tuned one of the hardest size quads that’s difficult to get rid of noise. Anything smaller gets even better results. Use it on your worse flying quad 1st to see the before and after. 😁

Hi CarlosFuher! It’s the same exact way you can get the 10” frame for around $68 instead of $108. Follow the instructions the previous video Titled (DIY $300ish…) where I discussed with Chrisbee1854 the hack we used. Choose the cheapest one you will get the reduced price. Again, I can’t say it out loud or it will surely stop working 😁

PS...I know the hack still works, because I literally used the method to pick up the 10" with two extra front arms for far less than the cost of buying the 10" frame alone. It shipped!! Lol

Yes, it’s weird because the stiff APC Bi-blades did not, but I did also replace my Velox 2812 motors with some cheap Surpass hobby 3110 motors on AliExpress and they severely outperformed my 2812’s

@@scottgivens27 haha, I replaced my 3110 800kv surpass hobby motors for the noname 2812 900kv ones. The 800kv was too low. Not sure if I felt much of a difference between them. Maybe because your kv is even higher now. Im getting about 30 min and 30km flight distance on mine with 8s2p 21700 LiIon. You got some long range test data from yours ?

@@chrisbee5481 I haven’t had the chance to do long range yet, so no data at the moment. Yes, 800kv was probably not enough. I chose the 3110 1280 kv because I wanted it faster on 6s with 9” props and changed the motor output to 960 kv which performs much better than my Velox 2812 1150 kv In comparison 800kv 8s = 26,880 rpm And motor @ 960kv 8s = 32,256 rpm The surpass hobby 3110 has no problem spinning an 8” prop at 32,256 kv very fast at the low end…for me. lol. I actually ordered another set to replace my 2812’s But spinning the props that fast requires a proper tune to keep the motor from burning out. Right now my motors come down cold to warm after each flight on 8s
