I hate a quick release flex head ratchets beacuse when you go to press the quick release button, the head just flops down. PITA... Thats why i dont buy any of the tone flex head ratchets.

The VHC42 kit got me thinking with another comment here. Im getting ready to start as an airframe apprentice and ill be buying hbr3, dd2, hbr8, and maybe hbr1046. The company does provide a lot of bits im told as consumables but a kit that comes complete with 4 or 5 of these in foam would be sweet. Maybe an option for assortment of bits or for us 1/4 straight and phillips. A clear top case with foam insert if bits were included would be sweet for aviation tool accountability.

That ball end set is miiiighty tempting.

Oh man, I’m going to have to purchase both of those little ratchets!

The metal box with the foam insert should be a standard thing as it allows you to put the kit in a drawer without the box while retaining the option to throw it back in the box and go mobile. Removable foam inserts are one of the best things to come down the pipe in along time imho.

I just picked up harbor freight's icon bit set (which you guys should be suing them for if you didn't make it), but definitely would have gone with the vhc42 if I'd known it was coming out

For the VHC42 I like the VIS112 ball hex/torx kit package made with ABS and a clear top so you can see what bits are inside. The metal case is nice like old style tools used to come in. I plan on picking it up with the FRBB34.

How does your natural S2 steel finish handle moisture like humidity and if it got wet from rain does it rust quickly?

I’d just like to have the bits in a half cut mag rail bit base. Would also like to have the bit base to hold 5/16 bits

The FRBB34 looks decent but the profile is HUGE compared to the Harbor Freight Icon MEME toolkit that does basically the same thing. BUT they packed in 2 extra bits. Their new one will be about the size of yours, probably smaller and have sockets. Uh oh....competition is beating you. Time for a redesign. :)

I want to point out to everyone. The ratchet heads that attach or snap to the extinction handle. Can be used as a small ratchet or hand ratchet for removing nuts or bolts after you have broken loose.

I went ahead and ordered the full set after watching this video, I’m looking forward to putting them to use.

Love the channel but I think a better camera man is in order. I couldn't see the split screen it was showing the breaker bar not the tool on the left side. Great tools though. Now if we can get better handles on the ratchets lol

this just convinced me to spend the extra coin on ur guys rails they really aren't that expensive I just wasn't sure the magnets would be this strong and was worried the small post might not be enough to hold the sockets

Send Clay over to Touque Test Channel, he already has the setup for those tourque ratings, those setups aren't cheep. Very good value for what you get. You dont sell value tools, you sell quality tools at a great value price. Folks that grip about your prices, are not getting and using them.

I love these demos. I have an older RV with lots of rust, so understanding how tools get damaged is really handy. I'd be fascinated in seeing how a Knipex Cobra compares. :)

Again it looks like you are inducing a twisting component with they way you are putting that reducer on it. If you cold get the leverage force more in a straight line with the tool center line you will likely get a better result.

That's pretty cool and I really appreciate it! Do you think you could do a test of the orca grip pliers? Maybe a head to head between them and these? Or use a similar test medium?

I wish that they were dual drive, like the others that are on the market... I almost purchased these, but the other ones that are available from companies like powerbuilt or ares have 2 ways to insert the extension. Vim is still an awesome tool company regardless and still makes some freaking awesome products!! I tell you what though, that hex bit socket is a monster!! Barely a scratch on it!!

I prefer the locking head ratchet. Of course, the situation always dictate when I use it. But I do use it. I need to try your grips, very curious now.

Sure your brand is amazing, tools performs alot better than the competence but im a shirt fan so those designs you got on the web site are fine!

If you offered your ratchets in a steel handle I’d buy every size available.

I will always pick a locking flex over free flex, unless it’s super annoying, like the snap on. Matco, Milwaukee, gearwrench are my go to ratchets by far

Hats: orange/black & green/black. I love your green tools so green for me. I like locking flex head ratchets but absolutely hate the new Snap-on versions. They always unlock at the most inopportune moment. As one who has done destructive testing and failure diagnosis for military and aerospace, torque test channel and project farm are great sources for a point of data, but the results are only from a sample of one. No statistical quantifications or decisions can be made from their results. A sample of at least 10 is required for a bell curve approximation. Giving credit is necessary for transparency. Clay needs some PPE and a vent hood! As a now retired DIYer doing more projects, maintenance, design, and building, I want the best tools available. VIM provides great tools with excellent value. I also wouldn't mind seeing more of Christian. Have you considered a distribution warehouse in Texas? Containers into Long Beach, air/rail/truck to DFW for a more central, expedient, and low weather impact distribution? 3rd party logistics maybe?
