    I have a 1992 Sambar Dias II (KV4) I noticed a plastic Phillips knob on the top left corner of your engine bay. There's a hose that connects to the air intake. On your vehicle it seems to be tighten all the way in. The one on my Sambar is barely on. Do you know what it does? One of the hoses that comes out of that connector seems to go to the supercharger

    Had some issue's fitting these type of mirrors, the grub screw isn't a sharp enough angle to bite into the plastic behind just kept skipping over the top, would have thought if they made the plastic behind just 1cm bigger would have made a massive difference.

    Thanks so much, this was really helpful! I was actually able to reset the odometer numbers without removing the yellow gear on the end of the assembly, and also without removing that unit from the housing. I simply took off the two black face plates and fiddled with the number dials it like you showed. One other thought: when I went to put the needle back on, it didn't have enough spring tension to re-zero if I just stuck it on at the zero position. I needed to rotate the spring slightly clockwise a few degrees, then stick on the needle. This way it has some spring force to bring it back down against the resting spot wire. I did this with a very tiny screwdriver to advance the spring by pushing on the little notch down in the hole to rotate the spring, then put on the needle carefully holding the spring in that position. Awesome video!

    Really great 'How To' videos. Sadly I only caught up with you 2 years late! Just worth mentioning that Aussie MK I Minis had quarter lights and wind up windows whereas the UK and other market Mk Is had sliding windows. I have used Newtons for some time (now doing a '78 Mk IV) and found them to be 100% but maybe they just let that hole slip past QC. But overall that interior looks superb. On later Minis the lock release mechanism had slots for the screws so maybe the handle mechanism could have been slid back to help?

    • @TM-fx5le
      @TM-fx5le Před 8 měsíci

      @@CafeRacerLab ah okay. So does an overflow have to be lower or higher than rad, or does positioning not really matter? I’m thinking about installing one on a classic mini

    • @CafeRacerLab
      @CafeRacerLab Před 8 měsíci

      I think it should work regardless of the height difference as the fluid moves by pressure differences. The expansion tank should have a tube like a straw that reaches the bottom.
