*SPOILER ALERT!* Mark Hoffman has got to be the greatest horror movie twist villain of all time. I really thought John Kramer was the big bad villain of all seven Saw movies, and while Tobin Bell does play John Kramer in all seven back-to-back Saw movies plus Jigsaw and Saw X years later, he is not the only main antagonist the whole time. Zepp was one of his victims who was the main villain of the first Saw film, and then after Adam Faulkner-Stanheight kills Zepp, John Kramer stands up and reveals himself to be the next big villain behind the killer. Then John Kramer is the main villain for the first trilogy of Saw sequels, until the end of Saw III and Saw IV after Jeff Denlon kills John, Mark Hoffman stands up and once again reveals himself to be the next big villain behind the killer. Saw 3D: The Final Chapter thankfully ends with Lawrence Gordon having the upper hand and condemning Mark Hoffman to the bathroom from the first Saw film to punish him for killing Jill, but leaked details about Saw XI hints at a possible secret escape for Mark Hoffman to return and almost rise again. I usually say that Hoffman's trilogy is Saw V, VI and 3D because these are sequels (just as happens with the original trilogy of Saw I, II and III). Saw IV left it excluded since although in theory it also belongs to the original trilogy because it is parallel to Saw III, it also has elements of Hoffman's trilogy, so since it is a film with elements of both trilogies, I prefer to refer to it as a film. bridge between both arcs of the saga (besides the only thing it contributes to continuity is the morgue scene, which by the way belongs to the Saw V timeline, the rest of the film is only parallel to Saw III)

They DEFINITELY should have had Dr Gordon. The timeline was perfect. Between Saw 1 and 2 he was recovering, and they could have shown why he decided to become an apprentice.
he should come back in another sequel, probably not XI because that is basically confirmed to be a direct sequel to X but XII could be a sequel to 3D where hoffman escapes after cutting his leg off and they both have a crippled fight kicking eachother in the prosthetics and cut off leg and then logan nelson comes and puts them in a trap and one of them has to die (i hope hoff*cker) and when gordon wins he outs logan in a trap and we get a game over and we see what happens to logan in the next movie.

As for the last point what I meant was I don't think it would make sense for Gordon to win the supposed fight like you hoped for because then the whole movie would be pointless. Think about it, at the end of 3d he's finally trapped by Gordon so why would they make him escape, only to be killed AGAIN. I still like the idea tho
