A run down of what this game is like, has lots of playtime to offer but its still the cookie cutter cheap assets at its core and its killing zombies. Has good character development and base building with some survival and trap system for tower defense with quests, so its not just 1 thing.
I'm on the same day as you. But my first game season mistake was I built my first village far from any of the mines I found. So, I pushed that to the limit. I'm putting the 2nd village near the mine. And would probably relocate everything there. I also found out, if you dismantle Odin orb and move it to the new location. All the raids will spawn on that location . Where the Orb is, the mobs follow. A bear came, blood moon and smokrs. Probably the invasion too. So, I put back odin orb to my first village for defensive reason. while building the new base near the mine. And guess what. No one is attacking that 2nd village. I housed a few builders to make the relocation much more quicker and preparing all the structures that I need the basics and the mine stuff. My only issue is. If another winter hit and the 2nd village aren't ready yet because I'm building cottages instead of tent. There's no option as yet to get the villager to light the fire. So I need to fly to that 2nd location light the fire, come back to the main base by clicking the unstuck option. haha! The unstuck option really helps to get to the base quickly. Only if your base location is the shipwreck area.
Ya nice call on odin orb as mod spawn.. Good to know if your far enough away like out or render distance that they just spawn and don't do anything.. As for fires builders with time off light lights and maintain fires, put them on extra leisure time. Good to do with people that are unhappy, make builders give them 3 hours off in a row 2 times day or more, then you can f u their sleep time too :P Like have them go from 20-23 time off, sleep 4 hours and up with time off for 3 hours to keep fires going at night and so on. The more fires the more time off. Also if you didn't know 1 guard tower in middle and rest building packed in as tight as you can with roads is a good way to keep lots happy, and upgrade the tower, 1 guy can give +20 def to lots of buildings.. My cottages have fire/wood pile and 10 beds. I've been looking for a best seed, and not all mines are the same. Cuz my second game had perfect spot in sight of starting ship, flat, deer, everything but mine was crawler in first open area and 2 paths, both short and dead end and other opened to big room with 2 big crawler spawns. Whish is to bad cuz i could lvl some hills into cliff and have about 33% of base with natural walls.
So the video doesn't tel you the coordinates of important points on the way and not even the drug lab no coordinates.. This could be easily a 5 minute video but the guy got distracted a lot getting stuff that you won't need to do if you're really just trying to get to the lab as soon as possible and that too before dark. Oh look a bird ,oh a coconut. There are videos allot better than this one so I'd recommend them as they have proper GPS coordinates and are quick and simple.

How are you taking so little damage bows are hitting me for 150s from all angles
Stand back farther and move to side every 2 sec. But i have Red Bronze armor on too from killing him a few times and getting loot. I stay back so only like 1-2 guy can hit me at once and hide behind rocks and trees until the numbers are down too.

They added a 6th 1.. The extra numbers is a mod, nexus mods, item stacking.

Ya don't need to do that lol.. A couple towers in direction of the portal is enough when maned.. The amount of guys that come increase every time but portals are in different spots.

You aren't aiming at the boar that is why you can't hit it. Look at the cursor on your initial hits it is not on the boar.
3rd person cursor sucks.
the wepon skills are locked because they are not linear, they are random on every character, unless they have a perk specific for a weapon and there u might have a clew in advance. also the all point is to use the NPCs passed 50 and i dont really like that, i think its a bit reductive but maybe devs change it you have many many mines. some with really low NPCs.. also all of the mhave nodes outside "unguarded" Also, you are moaning about not being fast travel there, in front of one fast travel portal the onlt BLUE mark on your map. you can halso build up to 10 teleports by default, 20 if u play on your server and change the settings
Portals are very far apart and very bad area's to build, also you could only have 6 before but still you have to kill 3rd boss before you can use them... Then you have to abuse the respawn cuz parts are so dam heavy.. that system is crap, plus you have to play solo or none official server to take items threw them. The hole system is crap.. Like i said, bronze and craft at max, anything after is to little to late, the long travel times back and forth fighting same respawns over and over and its now crap. More nodes and odd ores is some places yes.. Could have played a bit more to find them but that didn't matter in the end as its to little ore or such bad spots.. their is like 1 place to make a base to make bronze thats viable in my book and still a big server will have same effect on mines vs players making it a pain to get at. Its not a very fun game in the end.. was is 74 or 84 bronze to make 1 upgrade to a workbench? WTF right.

My first invasion is coming. I have 8 days notice in game. Probably just an hour or two real time. So I heavily fence my small base cramping together, arming the people and another making armors. I don't have metal yet. Don't have time to find the caves. I know where the portal is so I would probably soround that with double fence. See what happened. So it would de-spawn w/o getting into my base. lol!
Ya i over prepared alot but its nice to know how many guys are coming.. No metal sucks but you should be able to handle it solo.. If you know where portal is then just do what i recommended, thats man the towers at your base in that direction, 4-6 guys is more then enough, it starts at 1pm and if they have to travel then come in waves vs all at once, so 3-4 guys at a time is no prob.

Ya i was getting to 3rd boss but after the 20th wolf pack i had to stop and fight i said F this Game. That made soulmask long term gameplay a 3/10 in my book.
@@bigdaddykarvix43 what is anoying is that due to the level of depth in other parts of the game, it feels like the devs just said f it, this isnt important right now.. when roaming "quallity" should be one of the main things in an open world.. they will come arroound for sure
@@bigdaddykarvix43 but i think you should know that I have had the same reaction about the mining being so appart and in a NPC camp but then I randomlly found one small pit, then another, then another.. Its just that they are hidden and the roaming is so bad that you dont really look arround that much

Ya pro's and cons either way. I prefer ones with actual game play experience VS the many more i skim threw with hardly any and just say what tool tips say :) I just skimmed threw the Top ASAK one, everything was tool tip info so had to make my own, cuz surviving the first bear attack and winter that fallows is the most important tip for that game... But do you wants tips from a guy that played 30 days or one with 140+ days :)

Ya i saw this before i responded to other lol.. You have to do main quest, games give you pointers so its not hard to figure out... You prob did what i did... F this main quest crap and build the stuff before hand and no recipe for wrench pops up even tho you have the table that can make them. Had to do main quest stuff, good time to make a bike if you can or use alot of gas for scooter cuz its lots of long trips.

@bigdaddykarvix43 I just bought it today. The saving is confusing. I could only play for a few and I made it to a shop but had to leave when I went back there was no saved game.
Save is a portal for current run, everything else is saved for progress on unlocks i think.

My golden butterfly farm is not working anymore
I did not try after this last update, did you see patch notes on it, if it changed larva spawn then that sucks. Only issues i've has was once one was to low, like only 10 high and then spawns were on ground, and other was teleporter was on ground and i spent to much time on bottom before i ran up stairs and didn't get spawns. But 1 way to test for sure is to save it up top and reload game, then all spawns should happen up their after 30 sec or so. But if they changed larva spawns so they don't spawn on the foundation things then farm is broken for ever and back to 10-20 incubators zzzzz

Thank you and yes, you can wait inside too, but its like 15-20 min i think... If solo you can make dropped loot and death loot last a max and drop those heavy pieces and then use the respawn with death loot dropped at feet turned on to bring as many as you want back to base at end. But You can't use portals until after you kill 3rd boss!!!! Utter crap system that they will hopefully change.
You can give a lot more commands to your companions you just didn't work out how to do it.

duno if you said this before, but summon skeletal minion summons a skeleton(yes, hard to belive, but its true). the thing is, skeletons are the best petty soulgem monster. meaning, you can fill a petty soul gem by simply summoning a skeleton, casting soul trap on it, and either killing it yourself, or summoning something stronger to kill it for you(or any other way you can find to kill it).
ya i think i said you can buy summon spells, unlimited using merchant trick and use golden saint to get best souls.

Don't trust a comment from someone who talks as if they 'played' game when its a review vid, so fishy. Also sad you think achieving anything in a game like this means something for a review. Its called exp and i could see what this game is like and gonna be like after crafting first workbench and seeing tech tree, menu's and options, character screens... Nothing new for me and game doesn't get better just because its big and theirs lots more to play area. Like dungeons and boss's Oh MY zzzzz

OMG you are so so right! I wish I saw this first after 130 hours Oh My! Watching my death package time out, while I was on my way back...really did it for me!
Ouch, death packages are dumb, the durability punishment is enough. Game is not set up for solo or fun, gotta change those default setting right away. At least you can and they have some.. Not close to enough, and wtf is up with them trying make game worse then WoW as a MMO. I know i gave it a 6/10 and said its better then some of the last few reviews that were 5/10 but this slow travel back and forth with same guys is just getting worse as you get to new area's with more guys packed together that just takes longer so more time for guys you just killed to respawn and fight again. 3 head shots to kill dogs 10 levels lower then you, lame settings must be meant for 3-5 people parties or just horrible balancing in general.

Can you put a constant levitate effect on an item and then use enchants and spells to beef up your speed?
Not sure, it was to much work to get speeds fast enough and up/down was slower. I think you would have to go the potion + enchant to make potion better, repeat alot so your in the 10,000's to have a real impact and it would be a potion effect, I forget the exact way but remember it was less then perfect and time consuming. You can always try, like i'd go grab all the mats you need while running around using trainers and buy/selling stocks to get everything you need and make money thing. Just add extra trips to buy herbs in cycle... If you do that raise skills thing to get +5's on level ups, cuz thats what i'd end up doing, train a main skill up ten and other up ten level 2 +5's and 1 for luck i think, repeat the run to trainers buying restocked goods each time.
