I SUGGEST ! .... That you get into studying ultralight backpacking. Now I'm not saying that every piece of your gear will become ultralight. Because it won't. But if you try things you can optimize the minimum weight needed to do what you need to do. For example - My fishing rod - Is telescopic also but is only 30" It is carbon fiber so it has that stiffer shaft but still flexible. Only weighs 48 g after modifying the handle. My reel weighs 4.62 oz. ( For 4.58oz Total ) My live bait container is an ultralight plastic dipping cans. I used a Teflon tape spool. ( To carry extra 1" 8lb line ) As well as a smaller Teflon spoo 1/2 To carry extra 6lb line leader. And I carry a modified ultralight stringer 4' and a mini tackle box that's surprisingly carries a lot of gear. I've weighed my stuff out on a scale That counts grams and ounces. My entire kit : My entire kit including the bag to put the stuff in. Weighs in right at 12 oz. I have brought in 6 and 7 lb fish. WITH NO PROBLEMS. AND I'VE APPLIED THIS SAME ULTRALIGHT TECHNIQUE. TO EVERY PIECE OF MY GEAR. FOR EXAMPLE : I use a TOMAHAWK That I've modified. The head of the tomahawk weighs 8 oz or half a pound?. Plus the handle weight. Weighs in about 1 and 1/4 lb. With that I have chopped. Down mini 8-in round trees. And if the handle breaks, it's easy enough to replace. Using these techniques I have got my pack weight down. To carry everything 21.67 lb. Now this is not ultralight as far as ultralight hikers go. But for wilderness survival. That is an ultralight kit. I DID NOT SKIP ON NONE OF MY GEAR. That means my entire fishing system. Weighs in at right at 3/4 of a pound WEIGH YOURS see the different than weight. Look at the difference in weight of my pack. And the weight of your total pack.

" Or pay a professional to sharpen them" is not the answer either.Ive had professionalsbruin a $1K custom Damascus blade, using a WS Style belt grinder, he burned the concave base angles of the blade. I should have suied him. I've sent v expensive knives, back to Kaji factory, only to get them back duller then I sent them in...probably sharpened by some minimal wage immigrant with a couple of hours on the job training. The problem with the WS belt system is the poor by nature, rounded convex blade shape...Free handing a wet stone is an extremely frustrating skill, best left alone by all but the most skilled 😮

i made my own knife jig similar to edge pro apex and sharpened so sharp i can shave arm and slice grapes

You use the tormek wrong! Ther is to many wrong and i don’t know wher to begin .So look at tormek on youtube beginning guide, so you lern the proper way!

I have the Ken Onion Work Sharp (with Blade Grinding Attachment). I love it. I can easily take a knife from dull to shaving sharp in a hurry and get 5 packs of belts for 20bux. If the guys at work want their knife sharpened, thats what it goes on. I also have an Edge Pro Apex. THAT is for my own knives. The Apex creates thise edges that no1 else has 😎

The table that had the best award looked like some american knife designs, specifically the white river knife & tool sondero all the way in the upper left of the table. I saw some others that looked familiar too and some were great designs, very nice glad to see you're enjoying yourself!

Too bad its next to impossible to find wiled chronic bud growing or combined with the all natural pipe crafting it would be 100% all natural

Great content. You will get better results from the Tormek system if you true up the stone. This stone sometimes need to be trued out of the box. A few minutes with the truing attachments and you can get surgical quality sharpness every time and the T4 is well worth the price. Thanks again,
