Today the topic is photo processing. Short and bright nights prevent observations. That's why I tried my hand at image processing. I'm starting with M27, the Dumbbell Nebula. 4 images from the Euinox by Unistellar. The images were stacked using Neubulosity for MacOS. The processing was done using Luminar Neo. Next is M 101, the Pinwheel Galaxy. The record time is always around 45 minutes. So they are already stacked images. Nebulosity is an easy-to-use software for stacking. Luminar is also easy to use. Next up is M51, the Whirpool Galaxy. The automatic telescopes already stack the images. My question was, can you stack them again? I think it's possible. You can see very nice results. Now NGC 6946, the fireworks galaxy. It only glows faintly. Here it makes sense to try it. Perhaps you can get more details. The stacked images still don't show much. You can only see a lot after processing. Next is M 33, the Triangulum Galaxy. A large object. Let's see if the effort is worth it. Nebulosity has unfortunately been discontinued. But Luminar delivers splendid results. Now the same object again. This time with the Seestar S50. The color tone is a little different here. Stacking works well. The result is impressive.
