Hey Kevin so glad I found your channel. It’s quite weird I have the exact gear including same mixer etc I have only two of the FC pedals. May I ask what your setup is with the acoustic. Is that a Lr Bags M80 and is it being used with a Piezo. I just can’t find someone to help with a decent patch for the QC as I use a Gibson J45 custom and a Martin 000-42 custom with and Lr Baggs Anthem. I just get some crazy feedback and then once you eq the feedback the quality is lost and it’s an ongoing struggle. I have tried the Taylor T5 pro but just did not know if it was right or not. I do a lot of finger picking and looping ballades etc. maybe you could shed some light on it. I’m pretty desperate and will pay for help. Thanks Kevin.

Thats somd pretty amazing timing to finish with fireworks . especially with em coming through your delay.
I’m always amazed at how people walking by , will intentionally “not look” at a musician.... God forbid actually stop and listen for a minute... I can see you have people gathered around you taking in the good groove.. but that river of people going by without a glance, is weird. Great set by the way...
How much latency do you feel on the bass? Ive stayed analog for the bass side using (submarine pickup -> booster+eq -> EBS octabass -> ELF amp) because latency messes with me specially in faster and syncopated grooves. My Fractal Ax8 also has latency doing this, I got the EHX Bass9 and also latency, OC5 also has latency in the "lowest" setting and in the "range" setting. I'm waiting for DSPs to catch up and finally solve this.
there may be some, but I do not notice it enough to affect my performance i'm pretty sensitive to rhythms- latency overall feels like something i get used to after playing for 5mins i got a latency feel from the oc5 because it doesn't have a sense of "attack" to the sub bass sounds. also blending 50% dry signal seems to help keep the feel of the original transient no matter what sounds like you have a cool setup

Fantastic problem-solving, Kevin! I see you have a MorningStar MC6. I have MorningStar controllers too, and Boss RC500 & 600. If you are still responding to comments, I would love to hear why you didn’t just use Morningstar’s software editor to alter the command/filter? Why use an additional midi filter box to solve this problem? Thx again🙌🙌🙌
I was not aware of this feature inside the MorningStar to be honest I ended up purchasing the Midihub for another solution, along with sending midi to multiple devices

all in the hx 🙌 yes it only takes the crossover split, bass amp, and simple pitch

Quick question, I’ve been looking in to the A&H cq12t and you mentioned that you livestream to your phone from the usb, can you tell if all of the inputs and outputs are available on an iOS device ? I’ve been researching so much and can’t find an answer, thanks for your time

@lukeanthony8755 the stereo master channel, there may be an option to change it, I just have not because the setting works for me

Here's a mod for the ES system; tear it out. While I use Taylor 6/12 string guitars faithfully; no amount of 'selling' will convince me that the ES system is worthy of anything, except tearing out of the guitar-and putting in a Fishman Prefix or Blender. Oh, you get the 'quacking sound' with the cheap ES system on their 12 strings. Taylor pickups suck on their 12 strings. Drop a Fishman Prefix Pro or Blender into it. Taylor stopped selling their guitars with 'Fishman systems', to cut costs and sell more guitars. The six's are barely tolerable with their ES pickups-but their 12 strings sound like garbage. Don't let ANYONE, including Taylor tell you otherwise. Doubt me? Go find an early 2000's Taylor 12(And six,)-and plug it into a p.a. system. (Not a guitar amp.) My 2004 855 sounds amazing, so why have a cheap, 'it'll do' pickup in it...Taylor sold out with the public; by dumping the Fishman systems, and pushing these horrible-sounding ES toys. (I don't mean to sound so negative; but I'm tired of listening to amateurs-push these horrible sounding ES pickups.)

Both pickups are so well made . but Anthem is more bassy and earthy mic-like acoustic , M80 is pure and clean . So helpful video for me . thanks and good job !

I got two things from you so far: the pedal toppers (the round ones JohnUK is pimping don't work unless you step right on top of them), which I'll get soon, and that Boomerang stand mount. Holy moly. Also, it's crazy how many of us looping people arrive at the same solutions for stuff. I enjoy and appreciate these. Nice work, man.
John is actually promoting these as well, I don't think they were available until recently Live looping is similar to building an entirely new instrument, it makes sense that we would arrive at a "industry standard" at some point It's also a lot of work putting together these rigs for each show. Anything that saves time finds its way on my set up lol

Dude! I’ve been struggling with this problem, even opened up the ticket with line 6 tech-support. Went back-and-forth with them for a few weeks and then I saw your video. You were way more helpful. Thank you. L6 said they might address it in the next firmware update
that would be awesome if they were able to address it from their end, but unfortunately, most other units behave similarly. Midi clock is a specific message. Luckily, this fix seems to be working really well after testing it and utilizing it over 100 gigs
@@kevinsingssongs your fix did the trick. Thanks again! I have a CME midi router/filter. Never thought to look for the stop command in the settings because only the Helix was affected. None of the other devices receiving the clock. You the man!!
@robhenning8537 I didn't know that unit would also provide this option. That's much cheaper than the midi hub unit I think it is safe to finally put this issue to rest 🙌 best of luck with your build out
