a fact you may not know: thrawn is voiced by a danish actor called lars mikkelsen, who is the older brother of mads mikkelsen, who is well known for playing galen erso in rogue one, jürgen voller in indiana jones 5 and replacing johnny depp as grindelwald in the harry potter spinoff movies. as for lars mikkelsen, he's well known in the uk for playing charles magnussen, the main antagonist of the bbc's modern version of sherlock, and he's actually returned to play the role in live action for future projects spearheaded by dave filoni, starting with the ahsoka tv show

What scares me most about him is his calmness. He’s cold, calculating, and even in loss, he still finds victory.

He’s got to be my favorite imperial and character in Rebels and Ashoka. I hate how he got so little screen time.

If the Speeder Bike, Rebel Tech pretended he was excited for the chance to demonstrate his sabotaged bike, to the Grand Admiral, in an effort to fool him (instantly knowing and accepting that he was going to die) into believing that he was a loyal citizen, might delay the investigation...? And no, I don't believe for an INSTANT, he'd have fooled Thrawn....but, I absolutely believe that Thrawn, (maybe for the first time, in his life) is SO impressed, I feel that he would've made an announcement, to the whole of the Empire. Thrawn: "Propaganda, propaganda, obligatory Super Bowl ad (even Thrawn must please his sponsors! 😜) IF the Rebellion has even, ONE more man like that one? Unafraid to face death, for what he believes in...the Empire would TRULY be in danger!" He'd continue: "This is why the Empire must be eternally vigilant! Freedoms MUST be sacrificed, if we are to have security, in our time...(Awkward salute 🖕😜) "However...even though this Rebel was an enemy...we hold a moment of silence, in honor of the most WORTHY, of foes!" ♥️ "While it is true that we are in conflict, there is simply no reason to be disrespectful of one another". As a result, Thrawn ACTUALLY earns respect from his enemies. Maybe only a grudgingly, barely admitted to respect. But respect...nonetheless!!

Just got to meet Lars Mikkelsen at C2E2 he's a really great and friendly guy. When I told him he plays the sophisticated villain very well such as Thrawn and magnussen from Sherlock, he told me "thank you, I don't know what it is lately with my brother and I but we seem to get villain roles lately, you can imagine what our mother thinks about it" lol.

I wonder, if in Dave's movie Thrawn, in order to combat the Force, discovers the Nameless alongside the Ysalimiri. Think of that. The few Jedi that survived had no idea of the creatures as they were used 230 years ago.

This guy is like a droid version of the Wand Store guy in Harry Potter (I can't remember his name now.) He knew everything about wands, and now we have a droid that knows everything about lightsabres and respects the craft of one.
