THE REALTRIP is a long-distance race in Makkum with rabbit start. Participants from various disciplines and age groups such as windsurf, windfoil and wing. In the 2023 edition, we took part in three races. The light wind conditions made this the only race that counted for the event results. Looking forward to next year´s edition.

Local competition at Brouwersdam, greatly organized by the crew of Regiocup Zuid! It was interesting to see the differences between foil and fin on the slalom course in conditions between 8 and 19 knots!

We went for a slalom session on Lauwersmeer. But can you still call it slalom when it's super flat, or does it become more like speedsurfing? Maybe we should try some speedsurfing soon!

I wanted to ask (I don't know if you are still online as this is an old video), were you using the Optimum Timer Series 3 watch? i am looking for a watch suitable for both sailing and windsurfing. I don't know what you're doing, but I'm sure you're still having fun windsurfing!

Super filmpje.. Ik speelde vroeger bij de bunkers op Kornwerderzand en zeilde een stukje terug bij de houw. Vroeger stonden er rijen auto, s en karretjes langs de dijk.. 🤙🏻

Amazing! :) I've just seen that you're on AC1. Could you share why you swiched from ACK and how's the feeling compared to ACK? I'm considering between these two beasts right now :)
Sure! I switched from ACK to AC1 because it's my goal is to gain some weight, in combination with this sail with more power I hope to go faster in the future. So far my speeds are about the same, the ack is really a very fast sail, and the ease of use is tempting. For real competition racing, the AC1 will probably be just a little better, but they get pretty close, especially if you haven't quite figured out the power and acceleration of the ac1 yet or like a more forgiving riding style, less physical, making it easier to last longer.
@@femkeenjelle3826 Thanks for the answer. My weight is 80 kg, so as a slalom sailor I'm light and I am not considering to gain wight :) Goal is to be competitive at national level in Lithuania, where if you make good starts, have good jibes, so you already get good results. Top speed is not the decisive factor. I guess the level is higher in Netherlands :) How about overpowered conditions for ACK? Do these sails "like" these conditions and are still comparable to AC1 ? Best wishes, keep going :)
@@evaldasluksevicius9665 I always liked the ACK, and still like it! Even for racing, which I did, just like you, on national level. I personally never had the feeling of missing something. Rather the feeling of having an advantage when the wind increased strongly, where you can keep the ACK longer.

Zeker een aanrader, heel mooie omgeving om in te surfen! Zou er zelf wel alleen in het laagseizoen heen gaan: erg populaire spot, maar ook bekend onder vakantiegangers/Fransen waardoor het in hoogseizoen denk ik erg druk is!

Slalom foiling is so nice, you'll love it very much. I started foiling 1 year ago and pushed to 29,85 now. 30 and more is an other world
Hey Femke. It's a super foil combo ! I'm also ridding with the slalom combo since last week. Already tested it at Brouwersdam last week-end and I found it so more stable in comparison with my old foil. It's a very nice foil, you ride with confidence, mast is very stiff. I hope you'll enjoy your rides with it 🙂🤙
