Comparing the two, Sidorovich seems to have a different voice actor. The NPCs and Artyom in this build are voiced by developer Andriy Prokhorov.

⁠@@erosthespy​​⁠i mean in his first appearances in builds (i think it was in the stalker oblivion lost builds), there was a completely different voice in the builds from the final games, voice is really similar to this guy. he also voiced a lot of voicelines for other npcs in the builds, actually, almost every npc had his voice it’s the same voice that was used in oblivion lost remake 2.5/3.0, just search up gameplay from that mod (search up 2.5 since theres another mod called olr 3.0 too) and i’m sure you’ll hear it since almost every npc uses his voicelines (non-special npcs and toad/sidorovich), he has the same exact voice tones. some of his regular npc voicelines also remain in the trilogy Andriy was also lead designer of the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R game

Iirc, there are 2 concepts of "The Sin", but i dont really remember which one is real and which is fan made: 1) Members of The Sin are former prisoners that were experimented on by the same Scientists that made most "super-soldier" mutants. When the Zone appeared, they instantly started viewing it as a Godly Entity that they have to worship. Apparently, because they were victims of forced experiments, they had diffirent visible (or not) mutations, maybe like claw instead of wrist, extended arm like "Излом" has, maybe they could be shorter or taller than regular stalkers and etc. 2) The Sin members also known as "Dark Stalkers" were former locals that lived around CNPP before the Zone became a thing. Other details doesn't really differ here, they became religious cult. Im not sure but i think they also were friendly to mutants, or at least mutated local animals and civilians. Afaik they were removed because GSC already invented Monolith, so another faction of Zealots wasn't to their liking. Imo they could fit into Stalker 2 2011 really well, when Monolith as a faction collapsed, The Sin could easily take over their positions near North of the Zone, and have a some kind of war with Pharmalogists faction, perhaps with all scientist and State-funded factions. I'd also love to have Dark Stalker or Monolith-Zealot companion/follower that is similiar to Marcus supermutant from Fallout.

​@@mrzirak792 from talking with them while playing as monolith in anomaly it seems they are of tge same "religion" with the main ideological difference being that monolith just wants to purge the zone and defend it from invaders while sin wants to spread the zone to the rest of the world. I think that would be a cool dynamic to explore in Stalker 2. Like adding importance to the military bc they have to keep sin fanatics who are escaping the zone and attacking surrounding countries, maybe this causes a rift with monolith who thinks they attracting too much attention and a schism occurs with monolith dismantling them and pushing them more underground. It'd be cool if all the factions had to watch out for covert sin operatives disguising themselves and sneaking into bases to blow everyone up with an explosive vest. Like youd just notice a guy with a scarred face looking out of place and he starts unloading on everyone if you dont catch him in time.

The only thing I didn't like in anomaly was Sin being monolith's young brother. I liked the Sin in Legend Returns and Lost Alpha, as they are like the comment above said, experiments.

Nah you're right. I'm pretty fresh into the STALKER series with shadow of chernobyl and I was feeling the EXACT same way. Even wrote a subreddit asking if it was just my "gamer brain" making me impatient or if this game legitimately does suck to play?! Either way was not having fun and not "getting it". They said many players feel the same way about the game and it you either love it or hate it. It's totally normal and your concerns aren't unwarranted or unfounded trust me! I've forced myself to get through the game (about 3/4s of the way so far) and its become more tolerable now that I've FINALLY managed to figure out a little bit but, wow, never again. It'll probably be a solid decade before I try any of the sequels

​@@ZyklonBeast12 I felt the same then I stopped playing them. 2 years later I tried anomaly and just thought to myself right it's about talking to others taking quest and surviving. I later realised how to play with the goal markers being either silver (side) and gold (main) I was so hooked and lost in the world of stalker it became my addiction. I then revisited the OG games which are great but I still prefer anomaly so if possible try the mod first then visit the games
