That was an incredible tip for finding clients. I like that cold email approach because it puts some of the control back in your hands, and it feels a bit more hopeful than just firing off applications. I'm going to give it a shot so that I can finally get started freelancing. And just in case anyone is looking for front end talent, I'm a front end engineer with 6 years of experience, specializing in TypeScript and React 😁 Also, I didn't know Wix had so many interesting features like back end code and a cloud IDE! Very nice.

This doesn't make any sense for slow learners, you have to sit down in your spare time after work and learn and brush up the syntax and moreover, understand what to use when. You cant just "know how to use it". Especially when you first learning how to code. What hes saying is, since he already knows how to code, it still takes 2 weeks minimum yo familiarize yourself with the syntax and hes been working as a dev for 7 yrs whos learned/mastered how programming logic flow works to build a product from start to finish on live production environment and has delivered successfully for companies. You cant just say know how to do it, by doing it/using it to build projects and stuff cuz thats not fair to those learning and still in the trenches mentally of trying to understand the programming logic.

I feel your pain bra, this CZcams are getting so annoying now because all of them contradict each other by saying different thing, Now you don't even know who to trust anymore that's why I'm stopping CZcams bra because I don't know if it's just me because these CZcamsrs are starting to say shit just to rack up the views without even fact checking there information

Not using tutorials is so key as you progress in your software career. I’m learning that now. Learn by doing and building what you’re interested in. May be harder without any handholding but it does pay off. And you have a portfolio project that could impress employers. Prioritize JIT (just in time) knowledge vs JIC (just in case).

I’m one of the OG here knowing Chris Sean since 2018 after graduating from my bootcamp. So, I’m cut the fluff and give everyone the 2024 version I think is the best way on being a developer. 1) Learn the basics of any coding language you’re trying to learn 2) Look at a basic projects being made from a tutorial on CZcams to see the language being used 3) Think of a project that you think you would like to build that is in your scope of understanding your language Ideas: I would go on CZcams and ask what are beginner projects or ask Google or copilot/chatgpt 4) If you get stuck I suggest you think about what you are trying to build first and then go on copilot or chatgpt for the answer Key Advice: ALOT of developer will tell you to go to the documentation which is a very good skill, but isn’t everything the ultimate skill you want to be able to lock down is building upon your researching skills on finding how to solve problems it doesn’t matter if you built amazing applications or get the answer from a CZcams or ai tool the ULTIMATE take away that you want to do is UNDERSTAND what you’re seeing from your answer the way to grow as a developer is build, search for the answer to your problem, understand what that answer is doing to solve your problem and rinse and repeat, through enough projects being built you’ll find yourself knowing a lot about that language and creating a ton of applications as well as being educated enough to show an employer that you’re job ready. PS: I really hope this helps new developer diving into the tech space or folks that picked up coding and put it down over the years. If anyone has further questions please don’t hesitate to write within this thread. 🙂
