When I was in the mtc I didn't have a testimony of the apostles I loved the president. Anyways, one morning at the cafeteria a bunch of 12's and 70's came by and everyone was excited I was that's nice but whatever. My companion wanted to say hi so we get closer. Elder Uchdorf was passing by and he came to us and said hi. When I saw him so close and was shaking his hand I felt the HG telling me they were apostles of Jesus Christ. 💖

I have an experience of suicidal thoughts. At times it comes back still at this age but then i realised that at times when i feel lonely which leads to being suicidal this is the time i have turned my back on God, but when i try to get to the path little by little i feel different. I thank the Gospel of Jesus Christ for helping me become better each day

This is how I view it: The veil of the temple represents Christ (Hebrews 10:20). The marks on our garments duplicate the veil, then the garment is our personal endowment (which means to clothe) of Christ. When you take off your garments, in some sense you are taking off Christ.

By the death of Jesus Christ the new covenant was ushered in, Ephesian 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift from God, not by works. All believers are saved by God's will, His grace is implanted in each believer, this is the gift, above all else, this is the covenant that will bring the most happiness, it is from God.

I see that many have come “down from the mountain” and are taking “poison by degrees”. It is so sad. I love wearing my temple garments.

The Book of Mormon is a work of fiction. Why follow any commitments or covenants the Mormons Church also teach?

I love Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ. I can respect garments and their symbolism but its wrong to make your people wear garments 24-7, its called "missing the mark". Its 100% letter of the law and not the spirit of the law. (which is always more important) It means God or its leaders do not trust thier people. But Its kinda genius in a way, it makes you be modest, its an "EXTRA" law to make you obey! Wearing underwear and your commitment to Jesus Christ are two different things!! You can put them together to shame your people but its still two different things. To only wear garments in the temple would make them much more holier. By wearing them every day it just becomes Underwear! I know so many Mormons and family members who secretly do not want to wear there every day. Its uncomfortable and ignorant. But they do not have a choice there is too much fear with it. I had a mental breakdown and it took me years to put everything back together and Garments just doesnt make sense. it's not Christlike it is the very idea of a "Cult". We should have choice, and not be compelled to obey. We dont need to be ignorant and obedient. Christ will come down and overthrow this law like he did in the new testament. Doing the right thing is more important than wearing underwear. I plead with the leaders to remove this ignorant law! The church is progressing learning and being more loving and understanding, they will eventualy do away with daily garment in the future. Just wait and watch. Go ahead and Condemn me!! Truth will prevail! I feel like Grace burnt my Garments and I don't need them anymore to make me obey. I will obey cuz Christ loved me first. Not because I made covenants at18 in the temple that I had no idea what was really going on just like you!

This is gibberish! I am LDS. I was raised in the Church but life has taught me that this life is not that integral to our ultimate salvation or happiness. If the gospel that is taught by the LDS Church is so important then why did God allow vast amounts of time since Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden to be without it? In fact, most of human history has been lived by men and women who never heard of the LDS gospel teachings. Then there is the issue of temples. Israel only had one and before that it was a temporary structure that could be moved place to place but there was still only one in use at one time. The Book of Mormon mentions that Nephi had his people build a temple after the manner of the temple that King Solomon built. Although, he admitted it was not as lavishly constructed as Solomon’s. There is no mention of a proliferation of temple construction in any part of the Book of Mormon. There is no mention of any period of time in any LDS scripture of proliferation of temple building and yet this seems to be the primary focus of the LDS Church these days. I know the answers they will give why?Making covenants with God, performing sealings and doing work for the dead. But realistically only a small percentage of the human population will ever set foot in side a LDS temple and more importantly neither will most of those who are eventually baptized into the LDS Church. And those that do just how many will remain true and faithful to their temple covenants? And why is that? The simple answer is agency. The LDS Church has lost sight of agency of mankind. Their message is that you have to believe and you have to do this or that or you will fall short of reaching your full potential or reach the highest Heaven. Poppycock! This is a false belief. People who come to this earth are free to choose their beliefs and have their opinions. God is not going to penalize His children for doing such. Only our fellow man will do that. This world was made to allow man his agency and not to punish man for using it. However, like children being taught by loving parents there are obviously choices that are more productive than others. Having experienced both the the good and the bad we get to choose with path we will ultimately want to be on but that is only after we have partaken of the good and evil of this world first. So please don’t fall for this crap. If you are happy where you are then stay there. If not, then look for something that encourages your freedom to think and believe what is best for you while not condemning others who may believe differently.

I'm a faithful endowed member and know for a fact that if you wear the garment faithfully and believe, that GOD will protect you and bless you. Walk the path back to Him.

The God of the traditional Christian does not require a piece of garment to demonstrate your faith in Him instead the faithful contents of your changed heart should magnify your love of God because God alone enables your heart to receive His Love.

You don't have to be a Mormon to love and follow God. I am 76 years old, baptized at 8. I have been deceived about the entire Joseph Smith story for 70 years. My personal study has opened my eyes. I had the second worse day of my life yesterday... I am looking to my father in heaven for inspiration. I am taking care of my 90 year old mother in her last days after being abandoned by my husband of 31 years with no consideration or respect. I am grateful to know that I have a Savior and Father in Heaven to pray to for strength.

I needed this. I've been struggling. But I need to remember that I have been forgiven. That I am forgiven. that Jesus still cares for me. That God still loves me. I have faith I am forgiven, and that I'll be able to forgiven myself fully. Even if I repeatedly say 'I forgive myself'? It is a struggle. I know that I'll move on completely, but it's a progress.

I want to believe these words but I can`t because when I needed God`s help most, He didn`t help me. He simply let me experience hell. Now, it`s practically impossible to me to believe that He`s a "caring and loving father".

Once you experience Hell in this life, there`s no such thing as striving to achieve the "beauty of life" but an insurmountable desire for peace and quiet. Once you get out of the storm, you won`t be the same person again. Believe me, one time is totally enough.

Then he claimed God is flesh living on a planet named Konob with girls pregnant forever. My God is Spirit and truth that His Word declares that got in Smiths way. Smith might be rich to you and promises you much but even you wonder if you done enough to be saved. You wonder because Smith's created version of Jesus does not save. The BOM is like a dog tick to suck out the blood of Jesus that saves. You been suckered my deceived one. God never said all church is an abomination. Smith put words in God's mouth that God never said for earthly gain. Smith is suffering without God forever because his created version is false. Smith spoke just like Satan saying, "Surely Hath God Said." then twisting to believe what Satan said. Smith spoke just like Satan and you my lost one preach another gospel just as God foretold that is truth Smith hates. Satan always wanted God off the throne and sad to see you with Satan's desire. In the end The true God which is Spirit wins!
